Ah that was sad. Just a few chances gone begging and that's that. 3 extra times for Croatia against France who have strolled through. Hope the Croats do it but surely they'll be dead on their feet. Modric is different class.

Is that genuine? If so it's another reason why football fans are nobs. Though I'm sure you're all...lovely. Anyway, I have holes to dig else where, tah ra.

It's genuine, but I'm sure it's equally true on a more localised level, like when clubs play big matches and their fans get drunk afterwards.

I'm not a football fan and I've never committed domestic violence. Coincidence?

Shame we couldn't manage to nobble Belgium. And shame that the media were such knobs and underestimated Croatia. As Roy Keane quite rightly said: 'How can you talk about being in the final when you haven't even won the semi final yet?'

I think that it bodes well for the future, especially if this young team can get experience playing in the Champions League and the like so that they don't fall apart under pressure. I think we're more likely to do well or even when something than we were with that shower we had a few years ago, Joe Hart and his Head 'n' Shoulders advert etc.

I've surprised myself with just how much I want Croatia to win this, found myself doing a little fist pump when they equalised.

France got lucky with that, i'm not sure how the ref can conclude with certainty that it was a penalty. I suspect we'll get some iffy decisions go Croatia's way now to balance things out :/

I know what you're saying, I'm the same. They've fought the hardest to reach this final, going into extra time in all 3 ko rounds, pens shoot out in 2 of them. They've got mad fight in them.

But I wouldn't mind if France wins the world cup. Gooner=loves the French.

Will Smith performed in the closing ceremony. It was cringe. I might have gone of him slightly. I'm hoping I'm only saying that cos I'm tired.

My earlier fist pump has wilted into a plain old flaccid and dejected arm.

What's the point? What's the point of VAR when you can clown it up like that. He bought the dive of Griezmann, then he gave that pen which was laughable.
Subasic seems to think if someone shoots from 30 yards he should just fall slowly onto his ass. The ref and Subasic need to never set foot on a football pitch again and be forced to perform as Krusty the Klown in backward circuses for the rest of their lives. Ref is an actor, surprise surprise the narcissist has made it all about him. Twat

Meh, you can't beat a world cup

I know, i'm gutted too. I always feel sad way before it's actually over, i've been mourning for a while, i'm the same with the premier league, when the end is in sight i lose interest.

Yeah I'm sad it's all over. I haven't felt this way since Bubba died before he got the chance to persue his dream of starting a shrimp company in Forrest Gump.

I've really enjoyed this world cup, it's been a great ride. And to top it off my son was born in the middle of it.

I've enjoyed watching it with you guys.
