which makes them turtles so unique. They are not really like any other creature. Biology aside, it seems as if they have an old history that no one knows anything about.

Used to have huge turtles wander into the garden when I lived in Thailand. It's lucky to release them into water. The local park had huge turtles living in the pond as well as beautiful large goldfish, carp and catfish.

I remember watching a nature documentary when I was young that showed turtles laying eggs up close. Put me right off them. They could have the decency of doing it behind a small curtain or something.

I saw a clip where a turtle and a cat were sharing a basket. And the cat was desperately trying to get comfortable in the basket with the turtle (or tortoise) there.

Newly hatched baby turtles emerging from the sand, and making their way to the water must be amazing to witness in real.

Oh my gosh, yes.

One Christmas all my presents were Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle themed The toy firgures were like the most holy of all Turtle themed items, You dont get toys like that any more, I am a twin and we would both rock Ninja Turtle bum bags

Aww that's adorable! I used to have (still have) a film camera and it would put a TMNT face on every picture that developed. Then one day my dad told me that he fixed it (made it so the turtle didn't come up on it). I was like, "thanks" (holding back the tears) haha
