Hate that I have to drive past the park where I used to meet up with Mel to get to work now. I've spent the last year avoiding driving this way because it sparks too many memories. Not to mention the completely mindless nature of about 95% of my job that frees up my mind to think about everything when what I really need is distraction.

Both of the charity shops I went to are asking for references on their forms, that's a bit of a bump in the road. I'll have to see what I can do. One of the forms also has questions about religion and sexual orientation. I'm used to forms asking about religion since that's a big deal in NI, but I've never seen ones about sexual orientation.

Yeah, I'll probably fill it in anyway. I don't have any reason not to.

I really need to work on my facial expressions. People aren't going to be very friendly with me if I constantly look miserable. I remember when I went to get my hair cut I had this horrible expression on my face, I looked completely pissed. I tried to change it, but I couldn't. I couldn't stand looking at myself, more than usual.

^ He'll forgive you, people don't hold grudges for things like that, especially not with friends.

Put me if you still need someone. I've known you for years.
I put "prefer not to disclose" on all that. Bigots all around and I don't want someone judging me before they've met me.

I'm thinking how I love my new plus sized mannequin in work but every time I dress her I make her look like Hattie Jacques.

Unfortunately I don't think that would work for me in the same way since most people don't seem to like deadpan. I'm also not very funny.

Can I do that? I thought it couldn't be friends. Well one of the forms says not friends or relatives, the other one doesn't specify.
I suppose that's fair, I don't know if I should be worried about that or not.

maybe you could ask your job centre advisor to be your other reference?

I don't fill in the bits about sexual orientation on forms, it's none of their business lol

The one which doesn't specify should be ok. We take personal references in my shop, some people who come in don't have anyone that they could put so I don't mind if we have a neighbour or whoever. I'll tell you a secret (shhhhhhhhh) I never check references, I judge people for myself.... And I'm lazy.

^ Alright, I'll let you know if I can't find a second reference, which may be likely. Hopefully they won't care much about references either.

If you do something to make me regret this... there's really nothing I can do about it.
