Yes, that's very nice. Oh to be able to feel that way at will!

In my self-esteem group we indoctrinate each other with the idea that "problems" are "challenges". Gotta love the Americans for some things, and this kind of attitude is one of them in my opinion!

Well, Irish actually.

Although Ireland was part of the UK at that time, so I suppose you could make a case for considering him British.

How many of those things have you got? Sounds like you've got enough of them to give me one once a week.

My mum is full of quotes and sayings and she reminds me on a regular basis!

Worry about the things you can change, not the things you can't.

Be nice to people on the way up, you will meet them again on the way back down.

While they're talking about you they're leaving someone else alone.

are just a few................

I love those kind of mind expanding thoughts. I've found them helpful when in the midst of a panic attack to help calm myself down. This one is from a book called Amazing Planet Earth.

'Planet Earth is tiny compared to the vastness of Space. It is just one of nine planets circling the Sun. The Sun, in turn, is one of many billions of stars in one spiralling arm of a single galaxy. There are about 20 trillion other galaxies in the Universe.'
