^^Yes, he is. He can't see it though. He has schizophrenia and decided to not take meds for a month hence whats happened.

Yeah he was pleased to see me and God bless him even amongst all his own problems he was asking me about my neighbour and the music situation.

Just sad to see him in such a bad way.

Well it's all doom and gloom today, just opened a xmas card from my aunt which had a little note in it. My uncle apparently has lung cancer . I did think there was something up as she always sends a Perthshire calendar and it's always early. One of my other aunts sent me one instead (unheard of).

^ This really is not a good time of year! I'm really sorry to hear that about your uncle.
I have no-one to post cards to this year because my great aunt passed away at the beginning of this year and my Auntie is currently not speaking to my Mum and by extension me......I do have other family members but they're not card senders.

Sorry to hear your great aunt passed.
Aw that's a shame, families ay? too complicated. Quite a lot of my cousins don't do cards either. It's mostly the older generation that still seem too.

@ Mo - I'm sorry to hear the sad news about your Uncle

It's lovely that you went to visit the guy that you recently peer mentored while he is so poorly in the Psychiatric hospital. That must have meant a lot to him. I hope that he feels better soon once he is back on his meds. I don't think it's selfish at all to feel depressed after you've been to visit. It's difficult seeing people when they are suffering and it shows that you care

Well I've known him for a couple of years, not just the peer mentoring. A few of us have gone a long so far.
Yeah I don't think I realised how it might affect me. I was too busy beforehand worrying about getting there.

That was very kind of you, as well as brave. I'd like to be able to do something like that but don't think I could (with no meds etc I probably would get too depressed/triggered/etc especially by hospitals to be of much or any support

^ I always think learning to drive in a brand new car is setting people up for disappointment

Where I live its ..probably one of the places you go when your first starting to drive, its a nice quiet little dead end circle off the main roads so you can potter along and get used to things, the amount of 19/69 plate Audi's and such I see...even the odd brand spanking new Focus/Golf..its mad. I learnt/passed in 2013 and I drove a 2012 car. I then proceeded to get into my newly bought...2001 car, it aint half a kick in the teeth! I think my learner car was also a nice new diesel, you could basically set off in any of the first 3 gears and it wasnt arsed...my poor little petrol ford focus was Very touchy in comparison!

It gets better!...or you just decide to get an Auto and have fun in your go kart (like me!)

Thanks .

Although reading the thread back I feel I've been a right moaning mini!

It takes time to get used to driving something new and also on your own. I still have wobbly moments in unfamiliar places or rather confusing congested places but just gentle practice made such a difference to me in the long run. Building it up.

I switched to automatic a couple of years ago and don't intend to go back, it has made a world of difference to me anxiety wise. Tho I realise that might not be an option for you right now.

Months of headaches and stress trying to ask for a pay rise

I got one in the end (probably not enough but alas no spine) ..it seems shes messed up the wages and paid me less than what I'm suppose to get..infact its less than I would have got if I'd just kept quiet

Oh well, guess that conversation will have to wait for 2 weeks because im freeeee till the 2nd

^Aww did it. I loved Worzel!

When I was a kid my parents used to go alot to a kind of antique warehouse in Northants and on display they had these huge soft toys of Worzel and Aunt Sally, my parents would look at the antiques and I would visit with Worzel. When the display ended and because I went to gawp at it so much they gave me the a 5?ft Wurzel to take home with me for free. He used to come with me to School sports day as a mascot, sat in the front seat of my dads car

Thinking about the last year, making a work friend and talking in and out of work for the last few months. They left today and hugged other people in the office but not me. Felt a little awkward, forcing myself out tonight just so I'm not sat here doing nothing.

I'm watching all these reviews about what an atrocity Cats is, and I won't lie it's making me want to see it. Why does Judi Dench's cat wear a coat that is itself made of cat fur, why does Rebel Wilson's cat dance with a group of cockroaches with CGI animated faces?

So many troubling questions are raised

It wasn't massively realistic as it was a soft toy version but, , It did turn heads at traffic lights tho

My mum hated it/him.

I wonder if it's too late for me to completely change my life. I think it probably is because I'm nearly 25 with severe social anxiety and no qualifications for anything. Ehhh

25 is no age at all really, don't worry about that. People have made big life changes decades older than you.

No ofcourse it isn't! Plenty of people go back in to education when they're much older than you. People here have had their first relationships in their 30s and 40s, got their first job in their 40s, got married and had kids in their 40s or 50s. You've got plenty of time.

I wish I could feel just a little bit excited about Christmas, currently I just feel emotionally empty and I could quite happily stay in bed until the new year.
