But now I'm worrying about all the stuff that won't get done if I'm not in .

I've been rejected too much throughout my life for it to be a coincidence, I just want to know why it's like this. I really don't see any way out of this any more, I'm just in for a lifetime of nothing much.

Very nervous. Got a snowboarding lesson in 25 minutes, sat in car park full of the fear.

I would be exactly the same if I took any time off

Unless you are the Big Boss/Company Director Man try not to feel as if you have to take all of the responsibility on your shoulders. I hope the week away from work helps.

To be honest it's been a long time since anyone was even horrible to me. These days they're just indifferent.

Another night stuck on here pressing refresh and posting shite.

Oh how nice it would be to win a nice chunk of tonights euro jackpot so I could bugger off travelling in the morning.

@carrera that's really sad. Our old family dog lived to 18 and we eventually had her put down. It was genuinely like losing a family member to me and still makes me tear up thinking about it.

I'm feeling really proud of my husband. He's self learning five gcses. He's 40% of the way through the maths one in just a couple of weeks. We started with that one because he finds maths so hard but he's been getting almost all of the practice questions right in the revision guide. I also feel proud of myself because I've basically taught him it as the revision guide isn't always well explained. He said he was proud of himself last night and thats only the second time he's ever said that since I've known him.

He also did a mock test for hsk (Chinese proficiency test) level one last night. There are six levels altogether and the first level requires him to know 150 words. He's been studying using flashcards and the first mock test he tried, he passed. Gonna try to book the test for him to be taken in February and then he can get on with studying for level two. He's very motivated.

I am so so proud.

^ Thanks Flumpsy.

Yes, he left school with no qualifications and since then hadn't been motivated to do anything because he felt he could "never catch up" and felt embarrassed about being "so far behind". We had a chat a few weeks ago about his future and he realised he has many opportunities open to him and its better to start late than never so since then he's been working extremely hard. He's taking the GCSEs in May and with the way he's going he will be absolutely fine. He also said that it sticks in his head much easier because this is something he wants to do for him rather than being at school and being forced to learn it.

It just sucks that I don't finish work until the end of June so I'm gonna be stuck in China for two months without him. Gahh. I'm trying not to think about that though.

^ Aye, he only really wants them so he can get in to university. The actual stuff he's learning for the GCSEs is just bullshit and will probably be forgotten a week after the exams
