Re: Rate the last film you watched (4)..
Starter for 10. 9/10.
A good British film. Its nice to watch a decent British film after watching so much Hollywood trash for ages lol. All about a working class student going to university in the 1980s. Not really what university has been like for me, but it was an enjoyable watch, and I often like it when the main character/s are geeky and not particularly 'mainstream' - I thought McAvoy played the character well. Also thought Dominic Cooper and Catherine Tate played their parts well. The blonde girl in it was a bit annoying. The soundtrack was excellent - lots of 80s indie. I wish people I know at uni would play that sort of music at parties! I think if you like The History Boys, you might like this as well. I thought it was fairly similar (infact you had James Corden and Dominic Cooper as friends, just like in History Boys). Would have been even better without the soppy romance parts. |

Side Effects 7/10, good acting Jude, nice twists, well directed, think the slow first half would grind on many but I liked it

Aliens vs Predator: Requiem, 0/10.
Against all sanity I decided to watch this again, why? I haven't the faintest of ideas, maybe I've finally lost it. That movie is such a ridiculous pile of shit! It's not even a movie that I can say is so bad that it's good, it's just terrible. The worst piece of crap I've ever seen. |

Man of steel - 7/10
It was pretty good i guess but a little too long....Michael Shannon was excellent as Zod and Cavil makes a good Superman but i did feel there was a slight lack of heart or something....can't put my finger on it (far superior to the last attempt anyway) |

Payroll - 6/10
'60s heist flick, set in Newcastle but without a single Geordie accent to be heard anywhere in the film. Still pretty good though, and some lovely shots of '60s Newcastle. The Spirit of '45 - 8/10 Been meaning to watch this for ages - it's good, but not the call to arms I was expecting. Hard not to feel a bit depressed at the end of it really. |

Watched 'Warm Bodies' - was quite funny but really more of a teenage cultish kind of thing rather than for anyone over 25.

After earth 7/10
The movie was good with a clear story line, however I would like it if there was more communication between more characters, this couldve even been the earth creatures, in the movie. |

Despicable Me 10/10
I haven't enjoyed a film so much in ages. It was a really clever idea, and I liked how Gru was only trying to be bad to please his mother, who of course was never going to be pleased no matter what he did. I also liked how the girls and the minions were as bad as each other and ganged up on him. The scene where Gru had to read the story about the three sleepy kittens was my favourite: 'This is literature?! A two year old could've written this!. I don't like this story, it goes on and on' And Gru does look like Dara O'Briain. (He said that every day, he gets hundreds of tweets telling him this). |

Before Midnight 8/10
The third installment in much loved Richard Linklater trilogy. while the hallmarks of the first two remain and none of the on screen chemistry between Delph and Hawke has dissipated over time. the tone of 'midnight; is more downbeat and introspective, more about inevitabilities then possibilities , Too fans of the first installments it's a must see, and definitely adds too ,rather than diminishes the overall body of work. |

Bump
Junior - 2.5/5 - aka How Ahhhhnold get pragent. Thankfully the only instance of mpreg I can think of in mainstream film. THANKFULLY I haven't seen it since I was a kid. It was pretty bad lol As an adult I now wonder How Ahhnold was able to healthily carry an ectopic foetus to term (Although they may have implanted a uterus into Ahhnold at a point where I wasn't listening) How anyone is able to act alongside his wooden and monotone disposition Also why does Frank Langella always play the money hungry, thieving douchebag? |

Lmao Bob Saget was the dad on the sappy 90s sitcom Full House, and he also hosted American's Funniest Videos. Contrary to the image he portrayed on TV he's a dirty stand up comedian. I can't stand him in any setting. |
