Is there any light at the end of the tunnel?

Perhaps give booze a chance?

Hold on, why are you naked in this scenario? I thought we were just chatting .... .. you are naked, right? O_o

Well, being the consummate gentleman that i am, i would successfully ignore your bearded penis and carry on regardless - the show must go on.

Last time i traveled by coach was probably to Liverpool via National Express when i were a nipper - god, i miss those days. On the return journey i was very late for the station (alarm mishap i think) and literally asked a random/scouser, who was getting into his car, if he would take me there asap. He said he would, and did so, and didn't want anything in return (and i did offer, ofc). He was taking his kid to school. I've no idea how far out of the way he went for me or whether he was late getting his kid to school, but he was quite happy in helping me out.

Weird. I remember staying in a F1 hostel(?). I didn't think anything of sharing a room with strangers. I was probably seventeen at the time. I ate dinner with a group of Russians - they offered me some awful cold .. shit .. boiled eggs, that sort of thing. I visited the Tate, toured the Beatles museum, had fish & chips over my mates's gf's parents, got drunk on the town.... it was a good time.

baking hot, like am I ill or have I accidentally drank a ton of caffeine hot (I was drinking caffeine-free diet coke I think!)
like it doesn't feel all that hot here physically but I still can't sleep at all. Maybe I have a temperature.

Yeah, they are, i can't remember anything untoward, even out on the town - here .. well, there's certainly one place i wouldn't recommend for nightlife, the other places are (from memory) alright, but there's always the likelihood of seeing/hearing violence/aggression

I say station, but meant wherever the coach stop is (although Lime St. rings a bell). Another thing that came to mind was seeing Goodison Park - i believe we were in Walton visiting my friends gf's parents. I remember taking a walk down to the Mersey and ... looking at it ... i think the tide was out or something, cos it looked unimpressive

I really want to ask my friend about it all, but i've not spoken to him in a few years :/

I would love to visit Liverpool again, especially with someone who knew the place inside out. Ain't gonna happen any time soon though.

Err, lovely lamb?, Angie

Mm, never would have thought you knew little about football

That's exactly what i thought when i saw Goodison - it was just there, in amongst the terraced housing, massive.

You had me double checking the distance from Walton to the Mersey: how lazy are you! It's a bit of a walk, but hardly a trek. Tbh, i can't remember whether we walked it or not. Having just eaten, perhaps we were driven down, i really can't remember.

Think i'll pass on contacting the friend. And can you stop with the me going after glam types! I don't know where you get that from, when do you ever see me lusting after that sort?

Hahaha, when are we "banging on about hot women"?? You live in a fantasy SAUK sometimes, i swear

Is the north end a memory jerker or something?

Mm, i still have my vest - won't be using it for a while though, cos it's too warm with the weather wearing it now, wrong time of year. You're not worried about me joining the police, are you?

Thoughtful. My last day as a 37 year old. Slightly depressing. I need to really step up my game and attempt more. I'm v. conscious of running out of time and being left in a limbo of nothingness. The idea of hitting 40 with nothing solid or worthwhile in my life is too much to contemplate.

I'm off back to my dad's 1st thing and see if I can sort out the meal problem. Think I fancy some company in any case. I feel the purchasing of a big proper bakery chocolate eclair coming on too. Have texted vol job supervisor and canceled going in 2moro :/ She was cool about it though. (thank God for texting! rather than having to ring, lol). I can't really leave my dad for yet another day though, the carer apparently told him - i'm not here to make you a meal, bunged him a small sausage roll and put him to bed. Gotta love care in this country. Treating the elderly like an inconvenience. Think I'll have to try and access meals on wheels and get the care call times changed around. I can see my dad sinking into proper depression which worries me.

Feel that age thing myself so empathise on that one. Sorry about your Dad, hope you get stuff sorted - it can be really hard dealing with all that so take care of yourself too.

Thanks

Got quite a bit sorted (hopefully). Social services broke and have agreed (for now) to 4 care calls. The field (care) manager is pretty good tbh. Hopefully it will work out.

I'm 50 this year and feeling fairly optimistic. I think middle/old age suits me. Happy to have got this far, always hoped I'd 'grow out' of my anxiety, not happened yet though

Spent a week with a friend's family and their teenage daughters and I'm feeling very old and out-of-touch. They hadn't seen any James Bond films pre-Daniel Craig and thought The Prodigy were a new band.
