You should be able to re-install that version of XP anywhere providing it's a legit copy and you have registered the serial under your name, it should be fine.

As for contacting you, they don't normally do that as far as i know.

I bought a new computer a couple of months ago, coz it was spanish I had to buy and have XP installed I bought it for 129€
then tried to put it on my old computer so my girls could have it (coz some muppet removed it and put Windows PRO on it)
but it wouldn't work as it was registerd to the other puter

Can I use it or do I have to buy a new XP disc??

there's a limit to how many times you can install XP on a computer, think it's 3 or 5, after that they want a activation code which you phone up for, but what you want to do now is fine, go for it.

Thats strange, nothing like that has ever happened to us and we've put one xp disc on 4 different computers, maybe more.
