What a rubbish summer, weather-wise. Maybe the sun will shine a bit more this month. It's shining now, at least.

It sounds mad but your own spit is excellent for removing blood stains, then sponge it clean with cool water and laundry detergent.

Wet it and sprinkle salt on it.

I've always seen it as a bird's eye view of a zombie.

Ha, can't believe I told someone one of my SA worries today. Finding it a little bit easier to be open with people. She know's I am SA, but I've not really told her any details before, but randomly told them something I am worried about and they offered advice.

Thank you Custard Cream and Olly, I'm quite nervous, but quite excited too, but that's only because it's a couple of weeks off yet, I'm going to slowly decline into a gibbering nervous wreck over the next couple of weeks.

Yes I noticed that initially with people around me (I'm talking about people face-to-face and not online ) The people I told, it's like they looked at me differently initially, they were unsure how to approach me. I think it's the worry of saying the wrong thing or of not knowing what to say at all. People have different perceptions of how they imagine a grieving person to be. I think some people were worried that if they said anything I'd just turn into this crying mess.

How annoying it is I just sang along to all the words of `Men in Black` from a gazillion years ago but couldn`t remember what I`d eaten for lunch without going to look at (not done) washing up for hints.

Accidentally set off my smoke alarm with my cooking at 1am and nearly gave myself a heart attack leaping around trying to reset it No angry or concerned knocks on the door from neighbours yet...

When we had a smoke alarm I always found the best way to stop it when cooking set it off was just to take the battery out (although if there's any Fire Persons or safety people reading this I guess they've just choked on their breakfast).

Disclaimer: this post is in no way suggesting anybody should remove the betteries from their smoke alarm just to stop the annoying noise and potentially renderering said alarm useless in the event of a fire if batteries are not replaced .

Ahh, it's probably worth the inconvenience, what with it trying to prevent me from literally dying in a fire and all that

Maybe I'll buy a stick for prodding it with, should it happen again (and for pretending I'm Donatello from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at all other times, obviously)

Thinking of what to do today. May go to a meetup group in town for SA or meet a friend or two in town, maybe try and combine both if I'm feeling adventurous. Debating about whether to go see a film later on. Gigs have annoyingly dried up it seems until the end of September. At least the ones I'm more interested in.
