Default Thanks to Mr Spud !!

Well earlier today I read the quote on Mr Spuds` page.

`Why do you stay in prison when the door`s wide open?`

I have just booked a week in the mountains in Austria, going
on 2nd August.....ON MY OWN.....

Oh my god I am scared. But the frustration not having the courage to travel solo, and, oh god i will have to talk to people, what will they see inside. Maybe nothing, thats the scrary part.

But it is testament that this site is such a help.

Well done - very brave!

I've always wanted to go to Austria. I might be going next year as I've had an offer from a good friend who said he'd take me. I just need to get my head in the right place to be able to do it. I've never been out of the country and never been on a plane

Hope you have a good time!

I'm flattered of course but I think Rumi, in all his wisdom, should take the credit. Amazing how a small quote can change someone's perspective on life. I wish something so simple could spur me into taking some sort of action .

Anyway Susie, have a great time in Austria and let us know how you get on

Well done you, there are many advantages to travelling alone and I'm sure you'll have a great time.

Thanks everyone. Got up this morning and thought `oh god what have done`
I used to go skiing on my own years ago but have had a massive loss of confidence. This isn`t about a holiday, it`s about facing fear. I have hardly left this apartment for about 5 months. So watch this space. Haaaaahahhhahhhh.argh. Susie

Good for you, I hope you enjoy it . I've been to Austria a couple of times many years ago and wish I could force myself to get off my backside and do something like that.

Wow, that's pretty awesome. Quotes like that can be refreshingly truthful, but I doubt I'd ever get that inspired by one.

Anyway, good luck and all.
