Not just posting to be controversial, I genuinely wasn't that taken with it, in spite of the mind blowing visuals. My movie of 2013 vote would have to go to Captain Phillips.

Basically hate any films involving drama, politics, religion, war, fighting, guns, car chases, blood and gore, historical films, films that are overly sexual, period dramas, black and white films, country and westerns, thrillers and soppy overly romantic romantic comedies yuck yuck yuck. The Titanic (am I allowed to hate a film I've never seen? I have no desire to ever watch it though.) Pretty Woman how I hate Julia Roberts, it's nice to know she's a horrible human being in real life too The Green Mile sentimental bilge plus Tom Hanks, what's to like? Saving Private Ryan sentimental bilge plus Tom Hanks Forrest Gump sentimental bilge plus Tom Hanks, hmm I see a pattern emerging Kill Bill (both) love Quentin but these are really overrated imho Rainman hammy acting. You just have to play a mentally challenged/handicapped person (badly) to win an oscar it seems, or be a straight actor playing a gay character especially if you are dying of aids. Tom Hanks Philladelphia?

I don't really like any Marvel superhero film, or any film like that really. Just makes me laugh seeing people dressed up in hilarious costumes taking everything really seriously. A film I saw recently was The Rock. People kept saying how great it was, so I watched it. Just typical Hollywood drivel, with Nicolas Cage. Also, anything with Nicolas Cage.

^ It's probably not the film's fault actually but the context in which I saw it which is a bit hard to explain here as it would get quite longwinded but basically I had a friend who was a thespian who liked shouting at and humiliating waiters in cafes if he thought they were 'straights' or whatever and he was just so smug about how much he 'was' Withnail. I suppose I just wasn't in the mood for that sort of character when I had to deal with all that sort of thing but without any of the wit or charm in real life.

Reservoir Dogs - nothing happens in the entire film apart from an ear being removed
LA Confidential - boring Beetlejuice - this is the sort of film I would normally love. But I don't like it for some reason. I think because of the character Beetlejuice. Normally I love dark, strange comedy so I feel a bit confused not liking this. The Incredibles - I usually love Pixar. Well, before they got crappy and just stated spouting out rubbish remakes anyway (Cars 2 and Monsters University I'm looking at you). But I never liked The Incredibles. I found it pretty boring and unoriginal for them. Very average film and I expected more. P.S. I just looked up a list of the top 100 films to see if I could add any others. Frickin' Avatar was on there. I'm sorry, but no way in HELL is that one of the best ever films! The 3D was pretty, sure. And it had a pretty forest, but the plot could have been written by a child. Unless this counts as one of the films that I thought was rubbish but others liked?
