Hello,

I've been socially anxious for a long time. Currently I am unemployed, I have been for the last 9 years since walking out of my job as an assembler in a factory. I was on disability benefits for the majority of those years living the life of a recluse, but cancelled the benefits at the beginning of this year, hoping that I can escape the benefit trap and build some kind of life for myself.

I'm going out a lot more, on walks and appointments (optician, dentists) and exercising most days, trying to get into motivating habits. I am in my 30's but I still have no friends, no job and live with my mum. Its not going to be easy what with the job market the way it is, but I hope to find the courage and determination to find my way into the workplace soon. Moving out into my own place and making friends may have to wait.
