Re: Something that made you laugh or smile today (lounge edition)
An Ancient Greek walks into his tailor’s shop with a pair of torn pants.
“Euripides?†Says the tailor. “Yeah, Eumenides?†Replies the man. |

Re: Something that made you laugh or smile today (lounge edition)
My parents discussing getting a seagull deterrent for the new place they're moving to on the seafront. I can't quite explain why, but the whole concept of getting one is just hilarious to me.
I suggested my mum gets one for her handbag so she can part the gulls red-sea-like as she walks down the beach. |

Re: Something that made you laugh or smile today (lounge edition)
The Da Vinci Code, chapter 4: A voice spoke, chillingly close. "Do not move." On his hands and knees, the curator froze, turning his head slowly. Only fifteen feet away, outside the sealed gate, the mountainous silhouette of his attacker stared through the iron bars. He was broad and tall, with ghost-pale skin and thinning white hair. His irises were pink with dark red pupils.
A silhouette with white hair and pink irises stood chillingly close but 15 feet away. What’s wrong with this picture? |

^ Not the first time Dan Brown's been called out on his excruciatingly bad writing style. There's a rather funny article that parodies it here.
'He particularly hated it when they said his imagery was nonsensical. It made his insect eyes flash like a rocket.' |
