Chelsea

ARSENAL
... this is where it gets tricky. Still a lot of transfer action to happen but Spurs will do a lot better this year - so long as they dont finish above Arsenal I wont mind.

A bold prediction from me....i don't think Arsene Wenger will last the season!

Top 4 same order as last season, 5th - Spurs, 6th - Everton.

Relegated - Stoke, Middlesborough, Fulham.

The top four will remain the same as last season, but in what order I'm not sure. I'm hoping Villa and Spurs put up a better fight next season. Portsmouth could be up there again. So long as United don't win it, and Everton finish below the European places, I'll be happy.

I think Ronaldo will go to Real Madrid, thus

Premiership: Arsenal
Championship: QPR
League One: Leeds Utd
League Two: Bournemouth
Conference: Torquay Utd
FA Cup: Tottenham Hotspur
League Cup: Liverpool
Champions League: Zenit St. Petersburg
UEFA Cup: Everton

Soz I know OP was just for the Premiership but I was bored.

Default Re: premier league predictions

I cant see any team breaking into the top four next season, gap is still too big. Unless a team like Everton or Spurs spend big money, at least £50M then I cant see teams breaking in. It is a bit early to start predicting the season as not many transfers have taken place only at Chelsea really. But because of their wealth and a proven winner in Scolari and the fact players will want to play for them then I think they will win the league. Will Ronaldo stay at united, i doubt it and i dont know who they will replace him with.

As for my team Aston Villa, I dont think we will have a good season. There seems to be a lack of ambition at the club. We finish sxith last season and our first competative fixture is 2/3 weeks away (intertoto)and still no good names. We have the money so i cant see whats the problem. I might be wrong and in the next week we may sign some good players, i hope so anyway.

Heres what i predict for the coming season, before all the big transfers take place:

1. Chelsea
2. Man Utd
3. Liverpool
4. Arsenal
5. Man City
6. Everton
7. Totenham
8. West Ham
9. Newcastle
10. Portsmouth
11. Blackburn
12. Aston Villa
13. Sunderland
14. Hull
15. Bolton
16. West Brom
17. Middlesboro
18. Stoke
19. Wigan
20. Fulham

FA Cup: Liverpool
Carling Cup: Aston Villa

I think the chances of your top team finishing there are as likely as your bottom three coming true.

I think the top 4 will remain the same as last year with Chelsea winning the league, United 2nd, then a toss up between arsenal and liverpool for 3rd and 4th.

Hull and Stoke will go straight back down along with Middlesbrough.

Despite the fact he is a whinging git, and 'never sees' anything his own side do wrong, yet, has eyes like a hawk when the opposition get even a remotely dodgy decision, I quite like him too. He's a good manager and has more class than Ferguson could ever dream of having.

I can't see him being sacked ... but it would not surprise me if he walked, although I've not heard of any discontent recently.

You are a man of many talents, David. A comedian now eh?

Everton have a chance in the UEFA Cup judging by the utter dross that was in that competition last season, but they will be also-rans in the league yet again. How can you slag off Liverpool, a team that was 11 points above you last season and beat you home and away yet again.

Will you celebrate if Everton win the UEFA Cup? I only ask because Everton fans said it was a third rate trophy on the three occasions Liverpool actually won it.

It is hilarious how you slag a side that has finished above you every season bar one since the 1980's.

Your only 'top class player' is Arteta, and he can't even get into the Spanish side.

The top four will probably remain the same, and if Villa, Spurs and maybe City or Portsmouth get their act together I can see Everton finishing outside the top six or seven even if they keep up their decent run of form from the last few seasons.

I'm not a fan of either Liverpool clubs, but with the history of both clubs and there fans, I'd hold my head up if I was an Everton fan, as for Liverpool fans, scum comes to mind.

id love to know why you conider qualifying for the eufa twice and the champs league once - as being also rans in the league ?

the fact is that with liverpool resources and the money theyve spent they should have finished 111 points ahead of us never mind 11. apart from being lucky in the cups theyve achieved hardly anything more than us int he league over the past 5 seasons. the league doesnt lie, cups do lie , i.e a shite german side getting tot he final of euro 2008

ill celebrate if we win the eufa yes. its an achievement to win it even though it aint the hardest cup to win .

its funny wot u say about arteta cos if u remember ritely fabragas cudnt get into the spanish side until spain were forced to put him on due to an injury .
jaquim and raul (two world class players) cant even get int he spain squad. it says more about how much of a dick the manager is than the players actual ability.

i think ur forgetting yobo, lescott, howard, baines, cahill, yakubu and baines - all bar wud one of those players wud walk into the liverpool side and wudnt look out of place at a top 3 side

pompey will never finish 4th and thats a gurantee. for all the money city spend theyll never catch everton. villa are a good side with a good manager but we are far better. spurs have got some great players but that means nothing, its about being a team.
