Quokkas. They're quite small. If you don't like quokkas then what the **** is wrong with you? You're a terrible human being and I don't want to breathe the same air as you. They're so cute.

Re: Small things that make you smile
I found out today that my neighbours, one is Romanian or possibly Romulan (I forget which) and the other is Polish are called, wait for it, wait for it.
Nick and Barbara. It is hard to get more 80s middle class burbs than that !!! Nick is presumably Nicolai but Barbara is actually Barbara. |

Re: Small things that make you smile
My son, over the baby monitor, apparently having a phone conversation with me describing his predicament:
'Hi, mummy...um, I've dropped my teddy, apparently. Right, right...yes, okay, I just dropped him, it was accident...okay, see you in a minute, right, bye' And when I walked into his room: 'Oh hi! I was just on the phone to you!' He's only recently learned the word 'apparently' so he tries to fit it into every single sentence. It cracks me up. Also, my six year old neighbour informing me that my kid's birthday is on the 40th June. |

Just looking at pics of the dog, when i managed to get her out for a couple of walks in the country. I'm so pleased i did, it was the highlight of an otherwise abysmally uneventful summer.

Re: Small things that make you smile
^ Yes! I could have wrote the same thing a couple of weeks ago when i rescued a fly that had dunked itself into my bowl of weetabix. Poor thing took it's time recovering but i'd be lying if i said i weren't entertained watching it
I'm currently quite chuffed with myself for using a couple of cooking apples to weigh down my bed sheets from flying off the line. It's really quite gusty and as i was watching on, after having just put it out, i thought, 'yeah, best not leave it be.. ', so, looking about, the apples were the best thing for the moment! |

Re: Small things that make you smile
Haha, no, it happens to everyone at some point - you reach an age where, for the remainder of your life, you'll only eat weetabix for breakfast, and one day a fly will land in your bowl, it's bound to happen!
Cooking apples have been waiting for this moment, they're secretly rejoicing right now, no more ending up in pies for them Seriously though, can you think of a better alternative? The need was urgent, that wind was a'blowing, time was of the essence |

Re: Small things that make you smile
My penis doing it's acorn impression.
Strange things. This mornings morning wood was looking pretty mighty .. well, it was verging on pretty mighty, then after a cold shower and some pressups it seems to want nothing to do with the outside world, like it's had a good stretch and now it's done for the day. |
