Yes. I lay with my eyes closed waiting to drift off, tossing and turning for 2-3 hours often.

It is horrible when you cant sleep but also dont really want to be the reason others are kept awake posting.

Hullo. I didn't get up till nearly 4pm yesterday, so I'm tempted to just stay up drinking and eating Skittles until I feel queasy. It seems like the sensible thing to do.

Same here, once I get to a certain hour I find it way better to give up trying and start preparing instead. If I know I am going to be in for trouble sleeping I just assume no sleep and prep as much as I can, often knowing everything will be fine if I dont get sleep means I am more likely to get a few hours.

Funnily enough I am doing just that now I got 2 hours sat night, worst comes to the worst I will still make it through monday's work even if I get no more, and normally then I will have no problem falling asleep monday night.

I'm generally too stubborn to give up on sleep. I usually end up lying there until the last minute and maybe getting a desperate hour of sleep, and get up feeling worse than if I'd stayed up all night
