How to open a website?

Does anyone know how I would go about opening my own website?

Are they free to open and run? - I'm only looking for a basic design,nothing to flash, something simple.

There is lots of help at hand with creating a website.. There are also many tablets that pretty much do all for you..

I set up my own website after buying a 'grow your own website' from Amazon, for about 30 quid.

Mine is LouLights.com.

And, yes, it really was easy!!
