I agree. They don’t sound like a friend to me especially if they are like this a lot.

Off topic, but this is a recent thought I’ve had. We say that it’s very bad to be overly proud and arrogant but from experience I’ve found that in fact being overly proud and arrogant is acceptable when it is towards a person despised by society or seen as lower status. I’ve gotten the silent treatment or cold shoulder quite a few times from some people in a society that is ready to point out arrogance and narcissism as bad. But behaviours to try and undermine another person are kind of arrogant or narcissistic imo, I may be wrong.

^ Sometimes, yes, but most of the time, believe it or not, they don't mean to be; they have their own agendas and often don't realise the impact they have on others. I'm sure that, if they knew how bad you're feeling right now, they'd want to make you feel better.

I'm feeling very paranoid and I don't feel safe at all anywhere. I want somewhere I can escape too.

Hire caravan for a week, some deals about. But then you’d be too much on yourself maybe. Pop over your parents?

That's a horrible way to be feeling, Sunrise
Do you have any holidays due? Maybe getting away somewhere new would help?

I'm sorry to hear that, Sunrise. I would reach out for support when you need to. And take one day at a time. Sending the best your way!

I try to take one day at a time, TD, P. Especially when we can be our own worst enemy. Where instead we need to be kind to ourselves. I also want to add that I think you're great!

I often find myself thinking that way too, TDP. It's what my mind seems to default to when I can't keep myself distracted with trivial entertainment. Wish I had some wisdom to share.

As Chess&Junkfood says, try to take it one day at a time. I know it's hard not to look at the big picture and be overwhelmed, but if you feel able try to put those thoughts to one side until you've watched another film, spent some time with another book, had a gaming session... anything, really. You honestly don't have to deal with those thoughts right now, as much as they may insist.

Stick around TD,P, you never know what's around the corner. As Chess and Merritt said, try to take just one day at a time and distract yourself with the things that bring you a little enjoyment

Is there anyone who you can trust or feel safe with?

Do you have a CPN or support worker?
