Yeah there all good There's only one at the place I was at today (I go to two different sanctuaries).

I was trying to get a photo today of our resident cat Google high up above the fencing (not very succesfully). As you can see Jasper photo bombed me -

Yes every other day since 12. I’m very sensitive to light and like most of us on here very sensitive to stress too lol so in combination it’s hard to avoid a trigger. Some weeks are worse than others but they do seem relentless attached to me.

I didn't leave the house today. Achieved nothing except playing an objectively terrible video game, and a bit of tidying.
Feeling quite crap mentally and physically and I have a very dry cough which is giving me grief, like my lungs are full of rice pudding. I really hope not. I hate rice pudding.
I need a long break. Preferably as someone else.

^^^ Dry cough’s are a slow torture. My mum likes cold rice pudding which I find mentally disturbing, just as I do when people eat cold custard.

Your wish to be someone else might turn out as someone even worse. Imagine waking up and seeing your enemy (no not you) in the mirror, would the shock rid you of your cough? Then maybe it would be worth the trade.

Plop. I've i've just spent the past hour reading through a Reddit thread that caught my eye, 'workplace dramas'. As you can imagine i was eating it up. Honestly, it does really help in life if you are a bit of an arsehole. Needless to say it's further reinforced my ideas about keeping myself to myself and looking for a job where i'm largely alone where people contact is minimal.

^ Yeah . My current workplace is the only one I've come across that seems to be universally kind. I mean I'm not saying that everyone really likes everyone but there is no toxicity. I was speaking to one of the new recovery workers and he said the same - it's amazing how non toxic it is. I would say it's cause its a mental health charity but I used to work for a childrens charity and the special needs team were a total bitch fest.

Working from home helps too though (for me) - I don't have to see people. I'm not sure I could cope with an office again.

Yeah I suppose I've been lucky - I don't do a massive amount of hours mind you.

Yeah it does have it drawbacks. I guess I also work/volunteer at the sanctuaries which gives me a bit of balance.
Also with my job I do run a group in the community and also a group on zoom. Plus have to have 'check in' meetings of a morning on teams. It still gives me some anxiety but I guess if I didn't have contact with others on zoom/teams wfh would probably send me a bit crackers from isolation.

Work today has been odd. No management in (well for our team). And half the team off either sick or on compassionate leave. Ended up doing extra and covering S 's group too. Has felt like a long day.

^ Could you get some sort of small air conditioning unit (if those exist) to keep one room in your flat cooler?

^ Yeah it would be nice/ideal. I'm not sure how expensive it would be though - both the cost of the unit but also to run.

Also I think for the portable ones you still need it to be able to have a hose going out the window - which is the prob - I can't open the windows properly cause of the cat
Tho In truth I know nothing about air con! so I might be talking nonsense.

Maybe you could look for something in the black friday sales next month. It's difficult if you can't open windows because of your cat. Still, maybe you will save money on heating over the winter if your flat is always pretty warm!

Like I could really do with a hot chocolate with the works.

I’ve got some squirty cream. I’ve got milk. I’ve got hot chocolate powder. I’ve got a twirl to grate over the top. This could happen.
