What would you do with 1 million in the bank

But being the thrifty hermit I often am, I'd probably just put a fair portion into savings and spend the rest of my life scratching my head wondering what best to do with it.

Is there a good yield on renting out property or are you better off putting your money into a high interest account or stocks and shares?

I'd just keep it in bank, Interest on £1 million annually is between £40,000 & £60,000

I don't think renting is worth it, you'd make less than the annual interest. Buying land is very profitable, there not making it any more

If I had enough I'd buy a little apartment somewhere in Canada and rent it out for my income. Then I'd go and buy a log cabin in the wilderness somewhere, with a lake, and learn how to fly one of those little planes that land on the water and I'd do this hermit thing properly ideally being self sufficient at the same time, eating what I kill etc.

EDIT - Fine I'd just live off the interest then had no idea it'd be so much
