Mod on here? Only time I've wanted to do that is when it's vision of being a sa prioritised site was short. (Plus having a curiousity of the hidden mod forum. :D) But I'd rather be a free poster than have to deal with when hotheadness amongst users peaks up.

I've moderated the forum Flash chat elsewhere including occasional kicks for rule breaking, always felt somewhat awkward trying to chat normally as well. I do also wonder what the mod section looks like here compared to the one I know.

Yes, giving back is good. The mods and admins here obviously do a lot to keep the site reasonably civil and running smoothly for posters. I like moderating the other site for that reason mainly, but you can never really compare any one place to another. Perhaps it's different here, but to an extent I think mod-bashing (public or private) and not neccessarily being liked by everyone goes with the territory. Though if a violation is clear-cut, there are usually no complaints.
