In regards to my dog, I just got the scariest thing done for my international moving process.

I got a sign last night that I HAVE to call up my dog's old owner. Someone donated a hefty amount to his GoFundMe last night just out of no where. It pushed me to call her up today.

But oh my God, phone calls are my biggest challenge. I just stood there holding the phone for what felt like ages, my heart beating fast, going over and over what I need to say. I finally pressed the call button for her number and she didn't answer so I left a message. Was kind of thankful for that.

She called me back right away and explained what was happening. She was super sweet and understanding. She told me so much good news about her new farm she lives on and how she takes care of shelties in retirement. She gave me info for another vet to call and I emailed them (as I already have an appt somewhere else, I'm asking if they have the service available in case something happens), and even offered to watch my dog in case I can't travel in January.

It took me MONTHS to muster up the courage to do this, because I felt so much shame for having to try and get her help, and here she is right away offering... >_< I knew deep down that this is what I needed to do, but my SA made it into the most challenging thing. Phone calls are sososoooooooooo difficult for me. I prefer face-to-face, even...

But things worked out in the end. :') I feel a weight off my chest knowing I have backup for my dog now. I've been on a roll getting stuff done in prep for my move! I'm feeling great!

Thanks so much, Percy! You're so sweet.

I feel like everything is easy now after this. Made so many calls and emails going down my "to-do" list. It's one of those things that really gets the flow going.

Thank you Nanuq and biscuits.

She is really sweet. I feel so bad for ever thinking she'd be otherwise!

Bad, anxiety, bad.

I went to the gym for the first time in a long time.

I find when I go gym I only last going a few weeks. I did a few months consistently when it came to a home workout programme and saw improvement in that things became lighter and I was able to do more pushups in one go but once again it wasn't consistent. I want to be consistent this time, idk if I would be. But I watched this video and think I am following this advice. I managed 25 mins jogging on the treadmill, after I wanted to use some weight machines but got too nervous and decided not to. I think I need to not push myself too hard so it's actually good that I didn't push myself as I know that would lead to me questioning and doubting myself and hence I would probably quit again.

Also in the past when I went gym it was partly for genuine reasons but also the wrong reasons I guess. And something with me and sef help or things that make me fel better is that when I get them it makes me more judgemental of others in my mind that I feel guilty of being judgemental. But maybe this is just having the wrong perspective of those things.

Slept consistently at least one week from 1 or 2am getting up at 9am everyday. One day I worked late where I got up 10 and slept at 3.

Well this was last night but ya know.

Essentially I had been carrying my work bag (30kg) for over an hour. I was tired and fatigued but was on my way home after a 44 hour week.

About 200 metres from my house, I spotted what I refer to as a scrote.
You know the type, young white men who act like they are black Jamaican men with the slang but none of the culture or class.
The type that only want to cause issues to people.

Well there he was, I'd spotted him just further up the road, using his scooter the wrong way down the road to prove how tough he was.
I just reached the turn off for my street and I hear it "YO!!!"
Not a friendly greeting but "you better pay attention to me or else"

I ignored it. I was too tired and my bag was too heavy and I was too close to home.

What followed were a bunch of comments designed for me to stop and turn around to pay attention to a scrote.

"Sup?" Boss man" "is you deaf?" "Yoyoyo"

Not interested.

I really didn't want them following me to my house, so I got wary and got the special spray I have in my handbag ready.

"For **** sake" he exclaimed and then went off to bother someone else.

I know a large part was the weight of the bag but in the past I would've stopped and listened to his bullshit story or his attempted mugging.

So what's the small achievemeny? Him calling me boss man. I am tall for a girl 5'9" but hardly male looking. There was a huge part of me that wanted to turn around and strangle the little twat. But I just carried on and whilst it's still on my mind, I'm glad I didn't confront him. I've got so many better things to do than talk to scrotes

Also, I completely fitted a new shower today.
If I had more compression rings the whole thing would've took less than an hour.
Sadly the old one was so rusted into the nut I had to rush down to Screwfix to get some more.

I'm kinda proud of myself even though all I really did was copy and paste what was their before.

@MissKatie - wow. Fitting a shower sounds complicated!

@nothing_special - that's great! Gyms are real test for SA and it must have been scary to try out new equipment. Keep pushing yourself (to try new things, not physically!)

@The crafty elf - nice one for going outside, thankfully it's fairly warm today as well!

^ Everything is relative and what may be achievable for some may be insurmountable for others, so recognise what you managed and don't belittle the accomplishment. I'm sure that, if you had to, you could do what's necessary, but in the meantime, do what makes you happy - until it doesn't.

Not from today, but been too busy to post on here! Finally got married last weekend at a court ceremony! I was so nervous that I'd mess up the lines, but it went very well. ^_^ I'll have to post up pics soon.

I'm now going to start going off prozac gradually. I really just needed it for the visa application process and then the marriage ceremony. I am thankful for the help they have given me, but at this point I should be good, and I miss having some of my raw emotions if that makes sense lol. I also suspect I may have gained weight from being on them as I've gotten a little pudgy hahah.

There's too much sweets in this country. XD
