Default 30th birthday?

My 30th looms ever closer.. I'm just wondering.. what did you people over 30 do on your 30th birthday?? I imagine I'd get really low if I just sat at home and did nothing, I don't know what I should be celebrating getting older for but I kind of feel I should do something special.

I know what you mean, I hate my birthday and i never celebrate it really. But my 30th will be in 13 months time. That doesn't give me all that long to get lots of friends in order to have a party!

When I was 30, I went to work... I didn't tell anyone, came home later and had a boring pub meal with parents, went to bed about 10.30pm

The same old thing as the majority of my birthdays.

Went to the cinema on Feb 7 this year, watched "No Country For Old Men".

Haven't done much with my life so far but I'm banking on reaching 90 so one way to look at it is that I'm only a third of the way through.

I just went out for dinner on my thirtieth. I think we went to tgi fridays (just over the road). Birthdays only really matter up to your 21'st and after you get your bus pass

Three days before my 30th, my long term gf told me she had cheated on me.

Was memorable for all the wrong reasons for me.

The bitch turns 30 in a month or so, so hope natural justice takes place, and hers turns out as nasty as mine did.

^

I spent my 30th birthday offshore. What sucked even more, was that it wasn't even 'my special day' coz I had to share it with a burly Norwegian electrician who had exactly the same birthday as me! Our joint cake was consequently iced in half pink and half blue It wasn't at all special or memorable, but hey at least it was so ridiculously sexist that I forgot all about the age-related distress

My 30th birthday was a nightmare! I'm 35 now so i'm just about over it, but i have bad memories. Well my Aunt and Uncle and cousin came to visit me, and i always feel really nervous with them for some reason. Anyway they made me open presents in front of them and sang Happy Birthday to me! I was sooooooooooo embarrassed. Nice of them i know, but it was hell for me with the SA. Plus i spent all day dreading them coming visiting.

Well, funnily enough, I just had a bit of a party at home with my family :embarass: But then my SA was really, really bad then and not even a herd of wild elephants could've dragged me out of the house!

Really wish I'd done something a bit more exciting now though!

I hope that whatever you decide to do, you have a great time!

For my 30th i went for a meal with my family n bf, (i was actually getting really ill that day aswell so i felt alittle down anyway) and at the weekend me n the bf went out with a few friends... just felt like a normal bday to me, apart from when i got home (after the meal) i came online and my bday twin was also online and we did a kinda virtual 'toast' through the monitor with...toast! i'll always remember doing that, hehe!

Made me smile.

My brother paid for me and him to go karting at the local karting place, it was just us two for about half an hour. It was something that I'd wanted to do for a while so it was pretty good

I had my 40th last year but didnt do anything, its two days after Christmas so makes it difficult to do much
