Getting into bed.

Just waiting up a little longer for the dog - there was a bunch of fireworks go off earlier which upset her.

Just had a lovely Halloween/Birthday and got spoilt. Now I am looking forward to a trip I booked to go to New York this month

Then after I come back I still have all the build up to Christmas so I am really going to make the most of the festive season. For some reason I really thrive at this time of year.....I think I have reverse SAD!

Isn't part of what makes Christmas special that it's limited to a few weeks of the year? I don't know how you don't get sick of it having decorations up for ten months

Spring The first daffodils, the first little green buds on the trees, the soft, warm air, the way everyone seems to brighten and look happier, etc. I love March - it's my favorite month.

Looking forward to Spring. Coming out of work when it's still light. Hopefully that will motivate me to go back to the gym. The light / better weather will hopefully improve my mood, and motivation to do things.

March, so ITV can stop showing the same advertisement saying coming in March, I must've seen this same advert for a drama about 50 times.

I noticed that outside my window actually... just thought how bright it was, it was back tonight again with a slightly changed phase. It made me think about all the things in the universe that repeat, like waves or circlaur orbits, and it gave me some optimism for something like a rebirth or reincarnation, it's just the way the mind works - probably f all happens when we die, sadly.

^ I found it breathtaking when I heard the concluding words of a verse of the hymn "Lead, Kindly Light" and realised their meaning:

Quote:
...And with the morn those angel faces smile,
Which I have loved long since, and lost awhile!

Freedom. Normality. Being able to get out of this flat for a substantial amount of time. Not staring at the same walls day in and day out.

It's nice to see someone who loves Christmas almost as much as I hate it!

I'm looking forward to heading to Scotland tomorrow, although the weather seems to have turned!

I'm looking forward to my trip to Italy in May, but do feel very anxious about it, can't seem to leave my house at the moment.... Sigh.

In vaguely unrelated news D, I wasn't overly impressed with the equal opportunities available on a couple of recently made Xmas movies I caught on Channel 5 yesterday. It seems that if you’re black, Asian or other and you live in a town called Christmas (or similar) you get to be seen in the background of the shot, pass the white leads on the street or in office corridors or smile, gush and coo at the white couple or white family happy ending while remaining mute throughout. Maybe I caught a couple of bad examples of the genre, but it certainly was a case of ‘Dreaming of a White Christmas’ from where I was sat.

They're all bad examples, that's why there are so many bingo cards and drinking games based around the cliches
