^ + ^^ I don't know if it's helpful, but I've been there and things have got a little better for me over time in terms of living a relatively more 'normal' life. I hope stuff improves for you both.

Hahaha. He don't have it, otherwise I totally would be using an anonymous account as your friend from another school would recommend.

Apparently today has been dubbed Divorce Day.

In fact, more than 40,500 people will search for 'divorce' online this month, which is 25% higher than any other time of the year.

I can't say it surprises me.

^ Over Christmas things tend to come to a head and in the new year people end up thinking, yes we can't go on with this anymore time to start looking at divorce.

I spent 6 years at this place, I carved myself a niche job out of something else I was originally employed for but hated (but desperately had to find work) - It all worked out in the end as I got into doing something I enjoyed when I briefly dabbled with during college.

My job has now become too much for one person so I ended up with a minion, still sounding good, doing a job I don't actually hate and I've got someone with a brain to help me out.

But now it seems I'm being pushed into something more..managerial, delegating what I want him to do..and overseeing more of the production side & organising the 50 year old babies. "you have a helper now, get him doing all that stuff so you can be more production manager sort of thing" I didn't mind it so much because I basically did it anyway depending on what staff was around...but now it seems more..set in stone? I'm not feeling the deal. Eh, maybe It will be easier when my minion can actually do a lot of my job, this whole thing was suppose to make my life easier and its really not

Tiny job related rant about being pushed into a manager of some description over.

Got one of those dreaded cards today saying a parcel's been left with a neighbour. I got ready to pop round to number 38 and braced myself for brown trousers time, only to find... there is no number 38. There's a 36, a 40, and a block of 12 flats between. I assume it must be with one of them, but they didn't bother writing down which. Tomorrow will be fun

^ Could the 8 be a 0? Number 30?

I would just contact whoever you ordered from and just say you never got it. Explain that it was sent to number 30 but you looked and there is no 30. It's their responsibility to sort it out.

I order a lot online and my deliveries get bollocksed up quite frequently. I usually just moan by email or live chat and get them to send me another with expedited delivery.

Thanks, you two. I've just had another go buzzing the flats, with no luck (just one guy who didn't have it, and a girl who seemed a bit confused and thought I had her parcel delivered to mine) Mostly no answer. Not really sure what I can do except hope they drop it round at some point.

What do you reckon? At a push I guess it could be a 0, 5 or 6 with a weird flourish?

Just checked my orders on Amazon and it says it was delivered to number 38, so I guess it can't be anything else. Number 38 continues to not exist on my street, though.

Knocking on doors for parcels is the worst. I don't really order anything online now unless I can get it delivered to the Post Office or Argos.

A couple of years ago I went to pick something up from a guy down the street and he'd opened the box thinking it was for him

Yeah, I hate it too. I try not to order things unless I know I can be in all day, but that plan gets scuppered when they say it's coming one day and it turns up another. To be honest, I have to make a conscious effort to check the address before I rip things open that turn up here. I could easily be your guy down the street

Anyway, a lovely lady just dropped it off a minute ago Turns out it'd been left at 30A. So, they must have not even looked at the house number they were dropping it off at, but asked them and thought they said 38? My brain...

Haha it does seem likely that 30A could be misheard as 38.

As part of my midlife looking back on the past thing I've been doing recently, I've started looking up people online stalker style from way back in the day. And when I find someone and they have really achieved something in their career (and are still thin to boot!) I'm going: oh God.Why isn't there a reset button on life?

^ That is why I became a bear. I pressed ''reset'' and am no longer much interested in conventional opinions regarding perceived ''success''

Returned to uni on Saturday and I'm currently questioning whether I can continue this for another 2.5 years. I like learning and going to lectures but these essays are already doing my head in, I find them so incredibly dull and I can barely write anything. I do want to learn but not in this rigid, pressured way. I don't know what to do at the moment.

Yeah, you got me there... he said he assumed it was the phone he'd ordered because when he gave the box a rattle it started buzzing.

The creepiest thing just happened. Somebody knocked the door at 4am and then I looked out the window and there was a man shuffling very slowly down our pathway stopping for about ten minutes every time and then he turned around and looked right at me but then carried on walking. Then he just stood up my mom's car for a while and then shuffled down the road very slowly. Realistically it was probably an old man or somebody drunk but it was still creepy lol.

^ Maybe he thought he lived at your house, still very strange bet you wondered what had happened for someone to knock your door at this time of the morning.

We'll have to see how it goes. It all went a bit sinister towards the end. And Noel's solo comedy series was a bit rubbish. Still I have hope.

pissed off my brain is going down the pan

I thought physically things would go down hill in my 30's but didn't expect it mentally too. I don't know if its work draining me, the lack of sleep..who knows. I try and do brain training things every so often, I have a job that involves me working things out mathematically/logically and I'd like to think I haven't drank all my decent brain cells to death (because I really don't drink that much!)

I don't know what to do, I was much smarter/quicker at things in my head 10 years ago
