Getting my kid ready for bed.

'You're making a big mess and I've just cleaned up in here'. He responds, 'well, you'll just have to do it again tomorrow'.

Such sass. So proud.

Earlier on I was walking through where I live, looking for my little cat. A couple of girls were picking up this cat that looks exactly like my cat, so I went over but they were calling the cat a name and it let them pick it up. That made me think it couldn't possibly be mine. We walked round in a big circle and ended up back near the girls.

They followed us and stopped us to ask if we've lost a cat. I explained that we had and that I assumed that cat was their cat. They said it wasn't, but they didn't want us to think that they were trying to nick someone's cat, so they were trying to make it sound like it was their cat.

Anyway... one of the girls got her phone out to ask me if I'd posted on facebook about losing my cat. I had! So she said that she was looking for it because her Mum showed her the post. They were trying to get this cat to show their Mum. They'd taken photos and videos to show me!

So very sweet of them. People say such bad things about teenage girls, but these girls were lovely. She said she'd call me if she finds my cat.

I was in the shop earlier and when I got to the till I realised that I'd left my card out of my purse. I always forget to put it in the right place.

The man at the till told me to take the stuff and pay for it anther day! How sweet! I couldn't do that to him though in case he got into trouble, so I went home and returned with my debit card.

Everyone seems so nice at the moment.

I showed my kid my medusa piercing (lifted my lip up to show the bar going right through) and he started gagging.

My four year old (feels weird typing that)...

'Owwwww, mummy you're hurting meeeee!'
'I only wiped your face, stop being such a drama queen'
'Mummy that is wrong, I am a boy so I'm a drama king'

'Just try it! Every wee boy and girl loves spaghetti bolognese'
'That's not true. I'm a wee boy and I don't like it, so only some do.'

'Look, I've finished all my tea! Can I have ice cream now?'
'No you haven't, you've left half of it.'
'Abracadabra! My tea is invisible.'

How did I live without him for so long?

Saw an old, fat guy wearing a short sleeved button-up shirt with half the buttons undone from the bottom up walking into a busy supermarket, his hairy gut partially exposed for all to see.

Something odd happened yesterday. As I was approaching my building some 'unsavoury' looking types came out. I slowed my walk down a bit to let them bugger off before I got there and as I did one of them threw something on the ground. I started muttering expletives under my breath because I sodding despise littering but when I finally arrived I saw that he had, for some bizarre reason, chucked two brand new 10 notes on the ground. They didn't stay on the ground for long. Thank you, random man!

Apparently the trains to Brighton were delayed today due to a man getting stuck up a tree and having to be rescued by the fire brigade.

I saw a woman refuse collector this morning, she wasn't even young, I think she must have been middle aged. I always like to see people refusing to fit the mould.

^there are female staff at our local recycling place, I think I'd quite like a job like that, because it seems genuinely worthwhile & a bit like being a womble. Except I am squeamish about getting my hands dirty and can't lift anything.

When I was in Costa a baby started repeatedly giggling at his mum opening a pack of crisps.

I'm buying flyswatters on ebay (not to kill flies with) and after my purchase a page appeared with a list of the items that other people that bought flyswatters recently bought...

Smoking pipes.

Clearly living the dream there... Smoking a pipe, swatting the flies.

I was watching 'GPs behind closed doors' and the doctor zipped up the coat of a really old man as he was leaving so he wouldn't feel the cold.

Be still my semi-dead heart

I was shopping earlier this evening at my local large 24hr supermarket and came across a shelf of candles in glass jars with letters on them, and some wag had arranged a few to spell out T I T S and for some reason it appealed to my juvenile sense of humour.

I love this, it's nice to see that some people are still kind and caring.
