^^ This is shitty. Hope that feeling passes quickly.

^^^ I mean you don't really have a choice using a washing machine. Does seem like a handy way to get rid of her though.

Very good suggestion re. the 4-day week. It's what I'm aiming for (when I can afford it).

^ Yes, love that little factor - 'it's gotta be done, luv, sorry'. I won't use it any more than i need to but it's nice knowing that it irritates her. As it probably does some of the others, sadly, because of it's location in the building. But it's gotta be done.

... We all need less work. Less is more. No argument.

Re the 4 day week, it's a hard recommend from me. Technically I'm on a condensed hours, 5 days squished in to 4 type of deal but I never work all of the hours anyway, which admittedly is a very fortunate position to be in - but that extra day off is absolutely golden.

Fairly run down. I've been furiously massaging my face to stop sinusitis from kicking in.

A couple of weeks ago, I felt happy for the first time in many years. Of course, it only lasted a few days. Now back to my usual boring miserable angry pathetic lonely self again. It just feels like I will be like this until I finally end it all. It’s been my default all my life, despite what I have tried to do.

It makes me so sad that I’ve never reached my potential.

^ sorry you're feeling bad.

I've still got this near constant, background sadness since getting very bad news about a dear family member earlier this year.

^ Why not do the interview and just see how it goes? What kind of job is it, if you don't mind saying?

Sorry, seriously that could be a good job for someone who doesn't want too much social contact.

life can be such a struggle. Sorry that those feelings of content were short lived. I try to plan in lots of little things to look forward and that helps a little bit. Hopefully you find something to help you maybe talking to someone to help guide you along a different path might help? It's so challenging, I know

I've got this cough which has disrupted my sleep patterns and left me feeling drained.
It's day five now. Wish I could be rid of it. It's not COVID and probably not flu but it's something annoying and crappy.

I had something similar a few months ago. It took a couple of weeks for it to fully go. I ended up having an emergency appointment at the doctors because I coughed up about half a tablespoon of pretty bloody mucus but they thought it was just from the irritation caused by all the coughing. I was told to go back if it happened again but it didn't.

Hopefully yours gets lost sooner.

@ Tembo - it's not nice to hear you feel that way. That experience at least shows you can be happy though (something I doubted for a long time for me). It might not have lasted long this time but it could do in future. Can you use it as basis for planning things that might lead to it again?

Really worried
My bloke has had a letter from HMRC . A demand for national insurance contributions...it says he owes £800 !

Wtf

I'm not sure why he's had this. I guess because he's not worked for ten years or so ? I dunno.
He's going to phone them tomorrow to sort it out.
He can pay it but I just hope this is a one off and he won't keep getting more demands??

Omg thank you oddity! Just studied the letter a bit more and I think it is a scam.
The date they've put is 26 000004 2023 lol and the phone number on the letter is an 03000 number

I've just had a sleepless night worried he owes money . You've just saved us £800! Thank you. Even I thought the letter was genuine

Good stuff You could always phone the real HMRC just to be sure, they'll probably be interested in the letter.
