Watching ‘The Philosopher’s Stone’ at the moment. I’ve never read or seen anything to do with Harry Potter, so I decided to watch the movies over this next week. My dad’s second family were really into them, so it was a source of pain for me because they all grew up reading and enjoying Harry Potter films with dad, and he never spent much time with me. So I’m revisiting Harry Potter to try to move beyond this historical prejudice I hold against them.

Ever download mp3s off ratio FTP sites? Upload a bunch of stuff to get credit for downloading. If your dial up connection hung (which mine did regularly), you'd connect as a different IP and lose all yer credit!

Say whaaat, I had a week off in March (which was last years holiday allowance) and since then I've had 3 days off...2 of which were due to other commitments and not actually for me.

I'm the only one at work with any holiday allowance left, I've still got another 2 weeks to take before next march..everyone else is done!

Hah! I do have vague memories of getting access to FTP sites back in the day, also queuing up for the IRC bots? spend 8hrs in a queue to get disconnected and lose your spot
