^^ ah, that was a pet hate of mine back in the MSN messenger days (I say back in, I've no idea if people still use it or not). Yep and I can confirm there were many an occasion, when on webcam, someone would use lol or lmao but actually just be sat there stone faced and eyes glazed. Sometimes dribbling. To be fair though, I was probably guilty of it myself ROFL

Drivers who park slightly less than a car width or car length away from the bins in my street.

I mean who comes up with this shit, the internet certainly has its downsides when it comes to language.

People who call people that don't follow the herd hipsters. Just passed a comment on a dubstep song that doesn't sound like mainstream dubstep saying that we are hipsters. I replied, who cares, if being a hipster means not mindlessly following a crowd then I'm proud to be one.

Sorry but ppl call others that don't fit in a box all kinds of names as a deterrent, but fitting a box to perfectly sounds too safe and boring to me.

^I think when people use the word hipster they're implying that people deliberately go looking for stuff that's a bit different from normal just so they can talk about how different their tastes are. I've done/do this on occasion and I kind of like to call myself a hipster because of it.

But what if you aren't deliberately trying to be different and you just have a different taste in art/music to most peers. Mind me, I think lots of people also deliberately try and fit in.

I wasn't that annoyed with the comment, but I hear the word hipster thrown around a lot. I don't ignore stuff online as much as in real life as I'm more able to express myself online.

^Look, I have nothing wrong with people trying to fit in or anything, in fact I probably do it sometimes. I just originally said I don't like how some ppl label anything out of the norm when it comes to something like music as hipster. I said phrases like "following the herd" just cause it seems like some act like its bad to like something a bit different.

Whats wrong with that opinion?

Just cover bands covering Sex On Fire would be enough to annoy me, I can't stand that song, like KOL, just wish they hadn't written it at all really, now they get people just coming to their gigs for one song.

Pompous actors who see themselves as intellectuals.

Just because you do a bit of Shakespeare and some film about a gay vegetarian with leprosy who teaches in an inner city school doesn't give you the right to be ridiculously earnest in every single interview you do.

You are a professional liar who dresses up and reads other people's work.

The lbc topic right now and the speakers opinions on single parents vs nuclear families. Imo if parents arent in a very healthy relationship together, why should they stay together and pretend to be happy around their kids. Imo healthy and free relationships are best.

When i'm with a group of people, and one person says to the other 'I've got something to tell you later'. That person has done it a few times now I think its quite rude.

I've said this before about property prices and people haven't agreed with me. But the 99 thing really annoys me. For example the new Apple Mac Book Pro is 2999 dollars. Does the 999 really fool anyone, I doubt it, everyone knows it 2999 means its (minus a dollar) gonna cost them 3 thousand dollars for f**ks sake, its completely f**king ridiculous..

*nods* And, to think, they con poor mothers in developing countries into becoming dependent on formula milk, in place of their own (vastly better) natural supplies, by doling out 'free' samples till their milk dries up, then charging them full price. Y'know, the drug pusher model of marketing. In places where accessing the necessary supplies of clean, safe water can be problematic.

And, worst of all, they seldom if ever label their blooming products veggie. Scum.
