Pasties and d&d - every cloud has a silver lining eh!

On a serious note i am concerned about my partners dad and we're gonna get him some extra bits tonight but i'm not gonna let myself fuss over stuff that touch wood wont even happen and will cross any bridges if and when it comes to it.
That actually sounds like a very sensible plan with regards to your partners dad - as opposed to some hysterical woman online who has ordered HUNDREDS of toilet rolls

God it's horrible out there!
Horrible drive down to sanctuary the s'morning but nothing as bad as the drive back, Jesus. On a fast road, pouring with rain, with ppl going through flood water on the other side and literally the water just hitting my windscreen like a wave. Scared the living daylights out me. Had no choice to plough on through more of it. Glad to be in.

The ****ing weather. It's howling a gale and the rain is smashing against the window as I type. This has to have been the most gloomy, miserable Autumn and winter I can remember. In a minute I have to go out in it, dodging potholes and massive goddam puddles/lakes. The traffic is horrendous, and there are too many cars, too many people, too many tiny rabbit hutch houses jammed onto every piece of land...aaarrgghh. I hate living in this country sometimes...uugghh, sorry, just need a rant.

Ah well, might as well go and watch the news and hear the latest on the pandemic. That will cheer me up!.

I wouldn't worry about the coronavirus. That will pass. It's the ****ing climate that scares me. Apparently, 2019/2020 was the mildest winter ever recorded in Europe. And globally February was the second hottest on record. How anyone can doubt climate change I do not know. Thank god I don't have kids. If I had a five year old, I would look at him/her and think "christ, what are you going to live through! What will the world be like when you are 50 or 60?"

Ditto

It is ridiculously over populated here in the south-east and every week thousands of cheap ugly little houses are being built on every piece of green land. The roads around my way are clogged with traffic mostly driven by angry Phil Mitchell types. And you can't get a GP's appointment for a month of Sunday's, (or any other day) because they didn't think to build more surgeries for the ever expanding population. If we were any species of animal but humans we would be culled..

And then of course there's the Corona virus.

Hmm, wait a minute

^ Same here AireleeBray.
It's early days, so you may make a few good friends at your new workplace

@ Mutedsoul - that's a real pity if the effects of stress (possible IBS) is preventing you from doing the kickboxing that you enjoy
I know it's far from easy finding a job that suits but it sounds like your life would be better all round once you've left your current workplace

It's International Women's Day so I've been told. What does this even mean?
I wonder if there is an International Men's Day too? And an International cats day.....

I was going to head out for a walk but it's just started pouring with rain, looks like another afternoon stuck inside vegetating.
I desperately need something interesting to do.

^ I hate when you can easily hear the neighbors like that, I don't know what it was but it was like cardboard between the walls and floors -- I could even hear the Spanish couple upstairs snoring so there is no privacy whatsoever. Obviously when there is mental health issues or an argument or whatever everyone can hear it like they are in the same room also... I think the landlord was in trying to improve the situation once they moved out from upstairs. I hope it's not so bad you can hear them snoring lol. I've always valued my privacy and can only live alone or with close family really.

The flat I'm in now is fine though, it's semi-detached and I can't hear anything from upstairs except when I'm in the hall, and it's so much better, so I'm grateful for that at least.

Haha Thankfully no snoring. It's just when the woman shouts and bangs around like the hulk. I never hear any other people.
If anyone knows of the "I'm fuming" viral video, that's literally her x1000!

^ Ah right, I have no idea, its just two other guys on their own, I think one of them has a partner, sometimes they have guests but I don't hear, maybe if they were shouting.

It was always a bit awkward when they put the music on to have sex, but I can still easily hear the bed rocking back and forth.

^^ An odd thing in my flat is my partner can sometimes hear our upstairs neighbour snoring but I usually can't! I wonder if it's something to do with women being naturally more tuned in to higher pitched noises so that they hear babies cry.....if that's true.

Yes, and the older mum's get the more we about worry them

The Doctor gave my mum an inhaler for her respiratory problems but she never uses it because she says she doesn't know how to. She also refuses to have a flu jab each year. What with that and now the cancer I fear that she won't survive this corona pandemic

Exactly! I'm sure they're going to have to shut down the house of lords and parliament at some point.

Do you not pay your water monthly?

I switched to Octopus Energy a couple of years ago (from Eon) and it seems incredibly cheap for some reason. My actual monthly usage bills are less than the direct debit amount even in winter when I've got the heating on all the time. February was only £58.

Would I be nasty if I said that the house of lords could do with a clear out?
Most of them just sit there and doze off.
