Too often. If I sing a couple of notes my eyes instantly start watering and I don't know why. I've cried at Secret Millionaire, been INCONSOLABLE at Titanic, and i've been known to have breakdown's in the middle of songs, especially tucked up in bed.

sometimes.

sometimes it can be some sad sounding music, like with no words. certain notes seem to trigger a response.

i can't watch the adverts they have on comic relief, like with the poor kids in africa and the sad music that accompanys it, have to switch over.

Sometimes. If I'm feeling a bit blue already a lot of things can bring me to tears.

Yes I get like this quite a lot.

Certain songs can cause tears, for example Phil Collins 'Against all odd'.

Some films do too, for example 'Beaches' always does! Also 'Breakfast at Tiffanys' sometimes does.

no, i consider that impressive! sort of odd in a detached way, like "press play to initiate crying protocol"

i know it sounds really stupid in this context but my feelings are all sort of bottled up, so its only very rarely that something makes me cry.

if it makes you feel less embarassed, i think the last time i cried i was sitting up late watching batman begins, of all things. and it was something in the film that opened the floodgates

i guess you could say that i was really just crying about something else, that the film reminded me of

yeah I cry at everything. Although, you'll never believe this, I haven't cried for like 5 days or something, I can't even remember the last time I cried.

What does this mean? I think I may be happy.

Sorry to hear thay mate. I grew up with an alcoholic father who used to beat my mother which sent me kinda crazy. I don't really see him anymore but I kind of know he'll pass away soon, and he's 54 which isn't too old.

Not really. Didn't cry even when my father died.

I sort of feel like your crying for yourself if u do, which isnt really wrong or anything. But I didnt feel it was necessary, I was kind of young then but I dont think I would have now either.

Thanks Haze

That must have been a horrible thing to see your mother being beaten by your dad

I have a brother who is a recovering alcoholic and I know how alcohol can totally change people. It turned my brother from a decent, caring bloke into a nasty, lying, abusive and deceitful bastard. It was hell to live with. He was arrested by the Police, found lying in gutters, resorted to stealing, assaulted people, got sacked from his job, fell down some stairs and stopped breathing, tore his marriage apart etc, etc.

He's doing much better these days after having treatment but he still isn't the same person as he was.

Yep it was. I remember him hitting her in the face with a hammer when I was about 8. My sis still mentions it to this day, she can't stand him. It went on until I was about 18/19. He was once beating my mum until I stopped him. I gave him such a pummeling, he never touched her again after that, though I still feel guilty at times for hitting my own dad, but he deserved it.

Sorry to hear that Lee. My dad was also a nice, caring, educated man, but he just couldn't and wouldn't stop drinking. It completely changed him as a person. It also changed me in a way.

It's entirely understandable that you would want to protect your mum. I'd have done the same.

Yeah, my brother's kids have been affected too.
His eldest son who is now 14 is in therapy because of what he witnessed as a very young kid when my brother was drunk.

Sometimes when I go for a run and am listening to an emotionally powerful song, some old memories will appear, the adrenaline will kick in and I'll start crying, sort of tears of anger.

I hardly ever do. But I have sensitive eyes which water when it's windy or if i'm embarrassed, so people often think i'm on the verge of tears when i'm not, which bothers me..
