Bidets - Ever Used One??

I was just wiping and thinking 'there's got to be a better way.. ', and then, 'when was the last time i saw a bidet?'. I've never used one but i recall seeing them about when i was younger. I don't know whether it's a figment of my imagination or something to do with a past life - Hell, i'm not even that old! but i swear they weren't too uncommon when i was a nipper.

So, have you used one?

Never used one. When I was younger, I thought that they were just baths for dogs.

We had one in the house when I was growing up, but it was generally used as a foot bath.

Used to have one in my old house when I was very young. I did a wee in it once and put my cat in it and gave him a wash. I didn't understand what it was for.

Cheeky. I live alone so... what do you think. In fact, i posted a pic of me recently, (before or after, i can't remember) having just lit a fart so, it's out and it's performing tricks/magic.

Anyway, I think it's a topic of interest and about time it got it's mention around these parts.

I have a bidet in my bathroom (was here when I moved in)! I have never used it though. At the moment it contains a gigantic bag of toiletries. Prior to that, my cat (who passed away last year) used to think it was his water fountain and sit in it waiting for the tap to be turned on.

My parents also had a bidet when I was little. I have no idea why as they never used it. I used to use it as a hair washing facility for my dolls - like they have in hairdressers, I used to lean them back in to it and get the shampoo on. I reckon in about 25 years it's been used about ten times for doll hair washing and that's entirely all it has done.
