I also find conversation difficult.

But people have said I am a good listener which I took as a compliment. One girlfriend even said I should consider becoming a counselor which quite shocked me.

I just find people boring, and the stuff they talk about, you know the small talk is so banal. I rather keep myself to myself.

I have plenty to talk about but it seems that nobody likes the same things that I do. On the rare occasions that I do get a decent conversation I find it thoroughly enjoyable. I can only pull this off if it's a 1 to 1 chat. Add any more people and I seem to get lost in the to and fro. And, of course, there is always the problem of how to keep things going. No, I'm no good at this talking lark either. But I wish I was.

Up to 3 people, including me, I'm not bad. Add anymore and I swear I start to fade away. I just don't have the skills.

I'm only good at talking if it is something I am interested in. Am poor at small talk.
