Always liked this one from the 70's
Eric Clapton with Emmylou Harris doing a little bit of a folk/country ballad
(Bit of a dodgy album cover right enough )

yes,..she has such a beautiful voice I also like the fact that she can get down and dirty with the best of them,
She wasnt afraid to do that song that is partly talking about getting wasted on drugs..lol
I loved the stuff she done with Little Feat.

I don't really like country music too much, but I loved the debut album by J.S. Ondara ('Tales of America') last year. He's from Kenya, where apparently American country music is very popular for some reason, so it's interesting to hear someone approaching the genre through that background.

Here are a couple of songs from 1981 that I liked. As with anything, some stuff you like and some you don't, but these got me interested, or at least told me it wasn't a genre to avoid due to any preconceptions you might have.

I watched the country music documentaries on BBC4 and liked some of the songs. I like some of the country rock as well, e.g. Gram Parsons.

That's a really good one, I guess it doesn't matter where people are from they can still sing country really well!
