Well its that time of year again, my least favourite time of the year. The time of the year when its highlighted in caps and bold and double underlined just how socially inept I am. 'going out over christmas?'....'err no just watching movies/tell a lie/mumble something'.........'where you going new years eve?'...........dont know how to answer that one I just try and dodge it. Then theres the visiting in laws - never enjoyable, and being invited round to friends of the wifes ( never my friends cos I got none left ) and having to either refuse ( puts me in wifes bad books ) or bite the bullet and go but just look like complete tool all night.
Actually though, Im such a complete bore and odd around the wifes friends and family I think she is embarrased by me now cos once or twice over the last few months her cousin has invited us round but she has just refused without even mentioning it to me til after the event.

When I was a kid I used to love the movie 'gremlins', at one point in the film the female lead role confesses she doesnt celebrate christmas and her co star says 'you know what they say if you dont love christmas you dont love life'
I could never understand as a little kid how people couldnt enjoy christmas - certainly do now lol

chritmas can be bad socialisng but the general feel and warmth is nice,

new years is the absoloute worst time of the year for me i hate being alone and not celebrating its horrible my best new years was 2000 when i was a kid and it was fun with freinds. not anymore though


also i hate the cold. brrrrrr

Oh I love Gremlins LOL, the second one even though its not set at Christmas is way better.

I actually really love Christmas, I always have. I know people say you can get together with your family any time of the year but its sometimes hard too so this one day you all come together for this big meal, drink and games. Its not even about the presents even though people think im spoilt lol :D. I just love the xmasy feeling of snuggling up, it being cold, the living room being decorated and some xmas films :D.

New Years Eve is a bit meh I agree, its normally a family get together or a house party for me, can't be doing clubbing too expensive.

It's turned into Ground hog day for me. Same faces, same food, same repeats, same awkward meeting with some family members. I used to love Christmas...and one day I will again!
