Default Leaving home when you are older

Hi,
I thought I would write here to ask if anyone else has left home when they were older.

I have always lived at home with my family in a small town until last October when I moved into a flat on my own.
Even though I am in my thirties It was the biggest and scariest thing I have ever done.

For a long time I had thought that I wanted to move, but I always thought that it was something I Didn't have the confidence to do.

I have always lived in a small town, and the place I live now is in a city, but its in a quiet area.
Its been a big learning curve for me and I'm taking it day by day.

I don't know anyone where I live at the moment but I keep in contact with my family and I go to see them at the weekend.

When I moved I started doing a college course at the same time which I am still doing and that has helped to keep me occupied.

I would be interested to hear anyone else experiences.

Thanks for the encouragement.

The first time I stayed in the flat on my own I thought I don't think I can do this.
It took me a long time to even work out how the electricity meter worked, and I was scared to use the electricity in case it went off.

I'm taking it day by day and I feel like theres still a long way to go and more fears to face.
I had lived in a small town all my life with my family ,and I thought theres so much more out there and I dont want to let life pass me by.
