Yeah, that's a good point about day vs week.

I'm a bit skeptical about supplements in general, do they really have what they say they have in them? do you need them anyway? once they're isolated from food and taking as a tablet, are they still effective? etc

But I take a few either way, just to hedge my bets.

don't the food standards agencies have some say in that though? I mean, it's not like we live in a time where people shove sawdust and poison into bread anymore. things for consumption are generally regulated and I don't think they can lie about what's in them, it's more about claims about what it can do is where the embellishment comes in. I have heard that the sports nutrition industry is a bit dodgy, people can make all sorts of claims about how their line of personal products can do this or that. really a lot of it is bs.

I think they have some say but as most of them are made in China and overseas it's probably very hard to test them all to see what's in them.

If you look on the product pages of most supplements, they don't often make many claims about what they are supposed to do. They're all pretty vague and only mention things that have been proven in published studies (which isn't many).

When it comes to the products, lots of people just buy the powders in bulk from overseas and then sell them on Amazon under their own brand.

https://startupback.com/selling-supplements-on-amazon/

Contaminated supplements is a thing. Athletes fail drug tests due to them having other things in them.

https://kabukistrength.com/cautious-...apl-drug-test/

https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scrip...pplements_cder

A recent report by industry body the Centre for Medical Cannabis blind-tested 30 products advertising themselves as CBD, bought on the High Street and online. It found almost half (45%) had measurable levels of THC, making them technically illegal in the UK.

parts of the industry is a joke though, even alex jones has sold products https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article...to-a-lab-heres people can just say it can do xyz and slap whatever price they want on it.

what about things like vitamins from holland and barrett or most supermarkets? that must be regulated right? I definitely wouldn't buy anything for consumption from china. heard enough horror stories there to not take that risk. yea I heard about the thing with cbd oil being impure, I did a bit of research to find something reputable before I bought some.

That seems like a good idea. I'm going to sound like a broken record here but do you ever take a multivitamin?

^^^^^ I'm guessing The Christmas Ring isn't a holiday-themed remake of the famous Japanese horror film Ring? That I WOULD watch. (just to see why the heck anyone would do such a thing)

These. I've started slapping them on my head a couple of times a week when I just fancy a bit of a relax. It's significantly cheaper than spa, and self-care blah blah. They are good for stress headaches too.

I'm wearing one right now. And nothing else.

Petrol!

I was down to my last few drops and everywhere had massive queues or had ran out. Boy, was I lucky. The last petrol station I went to had a SORRY NO UNLEADED sign, so I guess people didn't bother going in? I drove in and saw they had premium unleaded.

^ Hahaha. I would, but I'd just end up with a picture of a stick man with a strip on his head and I'd struggle to pretend to see anything more than a stick man with a strip on his head.

A Lino art set, want to try Lino art after throwing away lots of stuff in my room and looking at old art work I did in sixth form. Spent a few hours cutting into the soft pad, I don’t think I have a proper Lino block yet. Even need to buy more stuff to do the art. I feel the scalpel is nice to use.

Lots of new bedding, mine was getting old and worn out.
I used to be a duvet person but I seem to prefer blankets nowadays, they are more flexible.
Also a new pedal bin for the kitchen.
Nothing very exciting!
Also I took my bike to be repaired today as the chain snapped. It should be fixed by end of tomorrow.
Also food.

^ good shout on pistachios. Mmmm. Forgot about those beauts. I have the unsalted ones.

Yeah, definitely. I saw the word hazelnut and my hand grabbed the bar without thinking it through properly. But now I think about it, there aren't chunks of hazelnut in it...so will it be nice? I haven't tried it yet. I just keep looking at it wondering if it will disappoint. it's just sitting on the side. I might give it to my sister to see what she thinks hehe

^ I have to wonder what "PG: mild themes" means.
It used to be "18: nudity, sex, swearing, satanism and this really cool bit where the bad guy gets his arm torn off by this badass robot thing"
Now it's "mild themes". Has your child been exposed to mild themes? Contact this number while we play soothing panpipe music to make everything OK again.
