Default hello from glasgow...

Well actually from South Ayrshire but work in Glasgow.

I am 33 and have been quite an anxious person well for as long as I can remember.

I moved jobs 3 years ago to a higher position which was perhaps a step to far to be honest and since then have been suffering from stress and anxiety. I am finding things like train journeys, going to shops, walking down street can be a living hell for me.

I really dont know why one day I can be full of confidence but that can collapse in a minute and I am basically a wreck.

I am just looking to find out how other people can cope with anxiety and get some advice.

I have been thinking of seeing my GP for some time now but am worried about having stress/anxiety marked down on my records.

Anyway after that ramble will say hello and have a look around.

Ally

Thanks for the replies.

Yes I am still in the job. Its a catch 22 situation for me. The pay is good and I have struggled to find something else which pays same which need for mortgage. It is quite high pressure and I am working in not the most supportive work environment. I believe I can do the job but when my confidence is on the floor and I am anxious I just feel useless.

I am just finding myself becoming anxious more and more, some days I am fine but others its just well lets just say not fun.

Sometimes like today I have no idea why I feel anxious but I do and I starting to get a little worried what long term this could be doing for me.

Otherdays I am buzzing and feel I could do anything and and put my mind to anything.

I think I have realised I need to sort it out once and for all and try and understand why I am like this and what I can do to control it.

Question

Default Re: hello from glasgow...

Alricht, I'm from a place somewhere on the west coast.

I know how you feel though my record is a mess with mental health comments that I never ever want to read.

There is help out there if you want to ask for it but the most help is inside yourself. They just assist sort of.

Anyway good luck
