Thanks, yeah your right. I cant help thinking its me and i actually am stupid for not knowing though but at the same time i know what your saying is true.. Oh and im glad things worked out with your friend!

I just had to do the scariest thing. I phoned the bank . My face felt like it was on fire and my stomach felt like it was being tied in knots. I was shaking and almost crying and my little brother was screaming 'cry baby' at me. I know he doesnt understand and i dont expect him to but that just made me worse.

It was horrible, the person on the phone probably thinks im so stupid because i kept saying sorry? because i couldnt understand anything he was saying, i think he was french or somthing and had a really strange accent. In the end i just said ok even though i had no clue what he was going on about but i can get my money off my card now so thats all that matters i suppose. I still dont understand why it wasnt working though and if i use it again the same thing will probably happen so now im stuck with a card i cant use and i dont understand why.

Now i have to go shopping tonight to get my brother some xmas presents. He likes to tell me what he wants though (because hes sooo fussy) so it would help if he would stop being lazy and wake up and tell me. lol

They sent her home in the end with antibiotics.

Happy, inspired, slightly bored and a wee bit tired and reluctant to do anything.

That doesn't sound ideal. It would be great if we had social skills to handle any situation gracefully, but we don't.

I can't help feeling that I am inferior to everyone I come into contact with. I remember going to lina's house party early this year and thinking that every person in the room was better than me.
Hmm, the inner dalek talking: inferior! inferior! I don't think people can be arranged in order like that. You and I for example are chalk and cheese, there will be social events where you're appreciated and I'm not, and vice versa. I have to put a lot of work into tracking down social events and environments where I'm appreciated; for now SAUK is one of those environments for me, as it is for you, although as you've mentioned before, the people you know here mostly live a long way from you, which again isn't ideal, I've been in similar situations.

I hope things work out for you.

If it's Leona Lewis you're looking at your eyes should be praising you.

What would it be like to actually want to go and do sociable activities? I'm not saying I don't full stop, but now my assignments are out of the way for a bit and I have free time I seem to just want to hibernate. Being alone with no pressure to do anything, hidden from others so that their judgement cannot fall upon me seems like the most enjoyable thing. Yet it is not satisfying. Being sociable just feels messy though. As if I can't just relax and be me, I always have to be somehow reflecting on what all social interactions mean about me. Just don't seem to be able to accept myself and my behaviour as ok when I'm with others. As if I have some fundamental belief that it's not? Yet I can accept myself when I'm alone? I'm not sure I'm quite capturing what it is but basically it's not an unusual feeling. If I'm with people I can get things wrong, if I'm not it's safer.
I've just eaten dinner with my housemates and I just feel unsettled and like I'm not interesting enough or like I might show to much of myself. It's that same old feeling of feeling I really have to work on making people like me and stay liking me.

"Hey, mike - We noticed that you haven't posted for a while Maybe you could post in this thread and let us know how you are? "

Well I don't really post much, but I came across the message above when I logged on. A good feature I have to say.

So I'm feeling a bit up and down. The things I'm doing in my life are generally going well. But I'm not really looking forward to Christmas, not looking forward to seeing members of my family. I hope that doesn't sound bad, it's because I try to hide my problems from them and that is not always easy. Not exactly the Christmas spirit. Oh well, it will soon be over, Christmas I mean.

mike

Best wishes to you all
