There's a Portuguese cafe I walk past often in Brum but never go in. Food looks damn good. I need to go in and clean up the place.

BFI IMAX is in Waterloo, on a big arse round about.

You wouldn't get me trying to go round it in my car though. I'm happier watching it from a train window

That would be a nightmare.

You should go with your old man, but make sure the film is actually in IMAX.

I haven't measured the screen

By the time I've walked to the station, it's about an hour away, so I'm driving to my local instead

I reached the 30,000 word mark of my novel. It's getting hard. I used to come home from work every day desperate to write. Now I find anything to do that's more important. I read an article online about the 30k mark being difficult and now I feel motivated to push past it.

I want to write an entire novel, even if nobody else ever reads it.

^ Wow, well done Even if you want to keep it to yourself, it's a great achievement. I hope you keep working on it.

I've wanted to write for years, but never could allow myself to. There was a month or two last year I managed to pump out about 10,000 words over various unfinished stories, but then the spark disappeared as mysteriously as it arrived, and I can't even remember what it was like to feel so focused.

Went to my Gym induction which still feels dream like in my memory - can't really believe I went and was ok (on the whole).
The tough part will be going back and using the equipment by myself I suppose... Hope I can manage it.

Got back to my dads and had 20 mins before my booked on the spur of the moment refresher driving lesson
It was not toooo bad. No near misses, no her using the dual controls, no one maimed or killed.
I sort of- sort of - enjoyed it. I am ropey though. Gears at junctions/ roundabouts. Oh dear. I'm alright going up but clunky and a bit panicky going down weirdly. I also keep forgetting to check my mirrors enough, tho I think this was more down to me panicking about gears/steering/feet etc..
The instructor was a really nice lady though with a sense of humor. She let me just go round a quiet road to begin with (randomly outside my counsellors house which was a bit weird). Then onto the main roads a bit. Have booked her next Monday for 1 more. Either town center or dual carriageways (joy).
All in all I'm quite pleased with myself
