Do you have any hobbies?

I still have the problem of having absolutely no hobbies at all. I have the social life i've always wanted, and i've met so many interesting people, but I feel like an OAP. An OAP with nothing intersting to say about his life.

I'm a single 23yr old guy, wth no desire or motivation to do anything other than sit at my PC when I come home from work. No sports, no interests, and don't even get me started on travelling anywhere outside the UK...

My SA may be gone, but it's lifted to reveal an empty, boring, wasteland of a life.

Who understands?

What struck me about your post was you said you don't find anything interesting enough to turn into a hobby, yet you find certain people interesting. Maybe if you probe yourself as to what exactly you find interesting about them, it'd give you a clue about potential hobbies.

I try to read when I can, which is a good hobby for developing new interests and things to talk about.

When the nites are becoming lighter i tend to go rollerblading or jog last year however i really was to lazy to even do that guess i was very bad but this year its going to be different and do it also i love finding new music thru websites like Last FM then eventually going to see them live.

I have the opposite problem. I have too many hobbies, I can't keep up with them all and they distract me from my uni work. Oops.

At the place where I work they keep lots of old property deeds dating back hundreds of years. While looking through one today I noticed that one of them had a stamp dating back to 1891. After doing a little bit of research I found out it was a penny lilac. I don't know the first thing about stamps so does anyone know if this stamp is worth anything? Not that I'm thinking of lifting it from the paper it's stuck to of course and selling it on ebay .

I've taken up metal detecting again 18 months ago, first did it about 25 yrs ago but not seriously like now. I go out once or even twice a week with my regular partner who drives and I pay my half of the petrol plus any of the costs for rallies etc.

We travel about a fair bit, upto 160 mile round trips and last year we clocked up almost 3500 miles!..not bad to say I never really got out the house that often not so long ago.

My partner so far has obtained permission on various farms and he's been jokingly saying its my turn to find somewhere to go. Anyway I've been writing letters and last week I got a reply with it saying "ring my son on this mobile number.." I hate having to phone anyone I dont really know but I rang and he said we can go on and just have to phone everytime we go on though .

I Rang again today asking if we can go there tomorrow for the first time and he said yes, so I'll be having to go meet and speak to the farmer tomorrow, I usually stand back and let my mate do the talking ..

yeah, i hate that. actually caring about something or putting effort into anything more interesting than your hairdo seems to be frowned upon.

everyone likes music of some form or another, be it listening or playing an instrument
try learning the guitar. i can play that thing for hours or at least i wud if i had the time...or learn the drums and meet paul2...get famous etc
