I'd probably only wear a skinny tie with a suit like that. Actually got a suit from Topman a few years ago when i was much slimmer as it fit perfect. I could'nt get my hair like that as my hair is crap.
Was in topman today and alot of their stuff was gaff. By gaff i don't mean all skinny jeans and cardigans as if thats what ppl like wearing then not my business but their 'regular' clothes were'nt that nice. They used to do loads of cheap plain t's and jumpers but could'nt find any.

I only have a few pair of jeans now but most of them cost me 70+ quid. I've had a pair for 4 years and theres no rips or threads come undone and looks in mint condition. I don't mind paying extra for something that is worth it as you can buy alot of crap that is expensive but not really well made.
I brought a black mac from Burton for 60 quid and after 18 months or so the colour has faded quite alot when you compare it to what it was like brand new.

Of course, it helps if you have the sex god looks to go with it, but unfortunately none of us here do (apart from diplodocus) and we need all the help we can get (well I do if no one else does). If you could dress up your man, a man, any man, exactly as you please, what clothes would make you go weak at the knees and be putty in his hands? Obviously I have no ulterior motive in writing this post, just objective scientific research.
Like a geography school teacher, cordrouy and elbow patches. Greens, Browns, Plums...foresty colours. Velvet, soft knits and any fabric that makes me want to hug you. Smart Leo or George Clooney.

Turnoffs - dressing like Pete Doherty (sorry KWC) but not for me, skaterboy, jeans halfway down your knees...in fact boys...don't show your underwear. Shirts tucked into jeans, pale blue jeans, leather...

Many clothes I buy, I wear for a bit then decide whether I like it or not. If I do, I keep it. If I don't, I wash it gently - by hand at low temperature , mininal spinning, air dry and take it back. Can detatch tags from some shops ( like Next ) really easily, maybe why I seem to buy most of my stuff from next Doing this gives me much more of an insight into whether I actually like something than simply trying it on for 2 minutes. Only once has anyone done any sort of examination of the clothes I'm taking back, and then it was only because the shirt was wierd colours at the ends of the sleeves and looked at first glance like something had been spilt on it. I had washed that shirt 3 times as well, still no problem at all :D

It's bad enough that trendy indie types have a hideous sense of fashion and awful, vacuous personalities, without the added infuriation of wearing some twatty belt around their arse so you can see their trendy f-cking x-small underwear.

F-ck this...

Oh, you mean the inner stitching? Well, yes, that's rather important. Poor quality stitching can result in tears and it's rather frustrating because boxers are one of those things you keep forgetting to buy.

I wear clothes that are about 5+ years old in some cases around 10 years old, I lack the confidence to wear nice looking clothes because I don't believe I can pull them off so I always dress as low as I feel about myself if that makes sense.

If I wear something nice I get to scared that people see me and think "who's he trying to kid" and laugh at me behind my back but if I wear very old clothes that are torn, faded, to big etc people will look at me and if they take the mick at least it looks like I don't care about how I look and like there comments don't bother me.

Same goes for my hair I never have a "trendy" haircut cause I just feel I cannot pull it off.

People tell me I look nice and I could so pull these things off but I just can't seem to accept it very well I need to work on my mental filtering!

I imagine there are a couple of people who can relate to that...

Sparks.

I used to like them years ago when they were'nt really that big in the UK. Now it seems they have put the prices up on their products and everyone wears them which is even worse as we have a Superdry store in my town.

Its true as i have a North Face coat lol.
The problem is with TNF is that they are leaning more towards the fashion end and less to the technical end. I went into their store and noticed too that there prices seem to be really high for pieces that were'nt really that great in terms of keeping the weather out.
I understand not everyone wears that gear to go mountain climbing but the more 'streetwear' range should be cheaper.

I don't even know what a "superdry" or "north face" is.

The only time I'd consider venturing away from Sports Direct and Tesco is to buy something more expensive and of better quality. I've never understood how people can spend a load of money on a designer label that's of no better quality than something far cheaper.

I don't really get the hate for Topman in this thread. I've always seen it as a pretty standard, sometimes verging on boring men's clothes shops. It's not pretentious or whacky and the clothes are usually reasonably priced. Sure there's always gonna be a number of 'indie' chaps with stupid haircuts, but that's usually the case with all men's clothes shops unless you're shopping in Asda and BHS.

I get most my clothes from River Island, Next, H&M and Urban Outfitters (though only when they have a sale, way over priced otherwise).

quite happy with it till i walked around local town and some fat chav woman walked towards me wearing the same jacket.

lent it to my girlfriend at the time and she wore it for a while. i asked for it back so i could stick it on ebay and she said she'd given it to a charity shop!! that cost me £130 quid
