My inabilty to act normally in front of tall beauties. Its almost as though I subconsciously and biologically know that they're cut from a different cloth. Except your not allowed to say that in the real world but my body mind spirit knows it to be true.

Beany hats* worn by adults, maybe ok if you're going to spend some time outdoors in low temperatures. Otherwise - why?

There's a whole scene where people 'improve' their cars by sticking on the sort of stuff they sell at Halfords. Good fun if you're 17 and trying to make your car stand out, otherwise naffer than naffcakes.

Some engines do sound nice but unfortunately the 17yr old enthusiast doesn't understand that most of us don't want to hear it. That said, my VW camper is blowing slightly and I seldom miss the opportunity, when going through a tunnel or the like, to drop it into 3rd and wind down the window - very childish.

Re: Small things that annoy you (3)
Sodding Banks. Paid my gas bill online the s'morn - no probs. Went to top up my phone this afternoon - card declined.
Tried a few times. So checked my account online all seemed fine. Couldn't phone the bank as no credit on my phone. So had to register a new different card online, make a payment. Then spent 20 mins trying to find the right sodding number to ring the bank, about to ring when they sent me at automated message from the fraud team. I duly rang and listened to the transactions I had just made (& were declined) and confirmed I made them and got my card reactivated. They basically just put my card on hold to wait for me to make transactions, decline them, and get me to confirm I was the one using my card. For no particular reason apparently. Cheers Natwest, for the anxiety. |

Re: Small things that annoy you (3)
Dad's being a knob.
We've just had our usual salmon, taters and salad dinner, except this time without the Moroccan couscous. I thought it was going to be bland, so i cut up some spring onions, added them to the pan i cooked the fish in and fried them quick with a tsp of red onion chutney and oil. ... I thought they were tasty and wished i had done more, but Dad strongly objected to them as if i had ruined the whole dish I stuck to my guns and said they were a highlight in an otherwise bland salad, he laughed that ****ing 'well, i know better.. ' laugh, which irritates the **** out of me .. you know, if you don't like it, i won't put it on your plate next time: problem solved. Don't tell me you don't like something as if you have the weight of the world in your favor.. twat. He's having a bit of an odd one tonight. Think i'll stay out of the way. |

New things are not called 'new' any more. They have to be called 'all-new'. What's the difference? Just another symptom of the slow slide towards Americanisation.

Re: Small things that annoy you (3)
I really hate wiki articles (about games and such) that are written from an in-universe perspective. I read an article talking about how the headcrabs in Half-Life 1 are a different subspecies from the ones in Half-Life 2 because they look different. No, their design was updated between games, that's all. That's so annoying.

Having to shave. It always leaves my face feeling raw and itchy for at least a day afterwards. I have very sensitive skin.

Project Bakery at Tesco. It's awful, most things now taste like sawdust and it's 50% more expensive then the previous in-store baked goods which were half decent. Terrible idea.
