I shall be extra vigilant then! Doesn't he already have a favourite brand?

I've had a couple of Douwe Egbert's and can safely say that it's quite lovely, although i'm still drinking with added chocolate (2 small squares).

That's a nice thought. I did look at Kenco but the jar/packaging was quite standard. I like the gold/black label of the Douwe Egberts, it instills confidence. The L'or was more impulse. I want to try beans but not until i've given instant a good go.

I'm now tempted to try the L'or just to report back - i did want to keep it sealed.

I could be tempted ... but no, let's wait!

Is enjoying coffee traditionally a woman's thing? I've just noticed on the inside of the lid there's an engraving of a lady sniffing at the waft of a fresh brew O_o

By 'dispense for free' do you mean 'beaten within an inch of its mechanical life until it dribbled a few sorry drops of Bovril into your waiting mouth'?

Pfft, i got over swings a long time ago, unless it's one of those rickety riverside one's which swing but a few inches just above water and then risk swinging back into the tree ... or you don't get off and end up hanging still over the water and no one helps pull you back in ..... yeah, that should be the advert - everyone leaves her and then she whips out a flask of D'or coffee!

It's the L'or that I'm curious to hear about. Are you going to drink all of the Douwe Egbert's before you crack open the L'or? (Not pressurising you to open two packs at once; I'm just trying to work out when you'll be able to report back.)

Mmm Mocha is yumx34.
I've given both a good trial and i'm gonna go with the Douwe Egbert - in fact i've almost finished the jar off!

Did you get him some fancy coffee in the end?

^ Excellent! I like the method of surprise as well, very biscuits

I'm on the 'pure indulgence' variety.

It is good. I may have to cut back the indulgence though, it's too much caffeine, a cup a day is enough.

I'm not saying I love them more than my son, all I'm saying is that if my house was on fire, my son has legs and my new shoes don't.

This is true.

They're the most comfortable heels I've ever tried. I usually can't walk in any kind of heel at all but they have a huge platform and a block heel, and not much of a gap between them so they're pretty much like wedges. And they were only £15. Score.

New winter coat. Almost the colour and style I was looking for, and on sale? I can only assume that when it arrives it'll be ten sizes too big or small and made out of angel delight and polystyrene. And my life long search for the winter coat of my dreams will go on...

With this one you just screw in those little brackets, then the plastic bits are spring loaded, so you just push them back and pop the track in. I like the eyes being on rollers, will make opening/closing the curtains so much easier.
