Congrats Appear and Percy! I'm rooting for both of you! I hope Appear will continue to stand up and Percy's opponents will stand down (in a nice way of course)

I told my manager he's rubbish at his job. I then arranged for him to have to meet with his deputy plus myself so that he could be shown how to do his job properly.

Good going y'all
I have succeeded by getting out of bed in the morning, mostly.
That's about all.

^^ haha. Good for you, BFG.

Thank you Never, Chess and Merry!

Just bossed another phone call...well I say bossed...I took two beta blockers and three ciders prior (bad idea to mix the two I know) but it was as always the initial anxiety that kills.

Thirty seconds into the twenty minutes call and I've already calmed down and forgotten about the anxiety

Haha exactly the same thing.eight months of interviews and getting absolutely zero positive feedback. ONE ten minute call with this company who can see my value and I was back in employment!

Already have a pay rise and promotion lol
Gone from tier 0 (essentially new starter) to grade 3 in ten seconds.
Once the big boss pops in again, I'm going to train him on how to use the systems and I'll be out up to tier 4 (highest you can go)

I mean it's to be expected with my experience, but always nice to be noticed

^ that's excellent news, Kate! Here's hoping the big boss pops in by the end of the week then for step 4. *paging big boss*

Nice one, Angela. Strangers are proper chatty these days, I find. The first few times it seems strange then you sort of get used to it, but I also try not to be the one to start up conversations with strangers!

Go MissKatie!!! Sounds well deserved. Hope you're getting yourself a promo treat of some kind!

Nicely done too, Angela! I tend to avoid chatting to strangers at all costs!

Haha I've been unemployed for eight months. My "treat is paying 10% of my debts off (which totally still counts as the same as a large pizza and bottle of wine honest)

Yesterday I initiated a short conversation with a colleague i'd never met before in the staff room at lunch time about something on the TV.

I know it's not much but I was quite proud of myself, I usually hate trying to make small talk as I just find it awkward.

Aw. That's very sensible. Especially with takeaway prices. But maybe an ASDA make it yourself pizza???

Apparently I'm a feeder.
