Default Do you look your age?

just that.
I have always looked older than I am. When I was 16 my first boss thought I was 30 and now I am 30 my current bosses think I am late 30s.

it is what it is but do you have a similar thing?
or perhaps you always look younger than you are?

does it get on your nerves?

People always told me I looked in my 30s when I was younger. Now that i'm 31 i don't know what people think, whether I look older or younger.

I don't think you look in your late thirties from your avatar.

People can never believe I'm as old as I am. It's finally getting less, but I still get ID'd a lot. One guy in a shop had the cheek to refuse my friend alcohol 'cos your wee pal here don't look old enough'. It's only cause I wasn't feeling very confident that day. Makes all the difference. I smiled hopelessly but left the shop wishing I'd thumped the guy, who was incidentally significantly shorter than myself.

I have always looked younger than my years, I was still being asked for ID until I was 43ish. An ex was insulted when someone said to her why is a sweet young man doing with an old harridan like you, (she was older than me by 4 months).

I got stopped when driving by the police when I was around 25, the policeman, who looked about 21, said "how old are you son" - I replied "older than you I think".

I think he must have thought I was a teenage joyrider.

Then last year I saw someone from uni, who said I looked younger than when I was at uni.

So yeah I must look younger than I am.

Yeah..I look a lot older with a beard too. Atm I'm clean shaven and fairly baby-faced, although I am beginning to get a few lines around the eyes. Curse you age!

I think my SA stemmed from looking young for my age. I absolutely hated it growing up and withdrew from almost everything because of the fear of being laughed at if I told someone how old I am. Worst thing is my hair started receding which looked weird on someone who looked about 14. Now I've been able to grow a beard it's helped my confidence, I haven't been IDed for anything recently. I've only just had the nerve to go to an off licence this year because of the fear of being asked for ID. I'm late 20s (sorry to drop in on your section btw!).

Always younger unfortunately, my avatar is from a few years ago anyway, but I've still always looked about 3, maybe even 4 years younger than I am, I just remember a day a few years back where my friends and I were going into a club, I was at the back, they all walked in past the bouncer with no problem, yet he stopped me and asked me for ID, just me! Couldn't help but feel humiliated in that sort of situation.

I'd like to think I look at least 18 now and wouldn't get IDed as much in a bar, but I'm not so sure.

Edit: Oh sorry, just realised what section this in, oops

I'm 31 but look younger, how young can range from anything stupid like 16-25 but some others say I look my age so I don't care. Strangely enough have no probs getting alcohol but sometimes get asked for id if getting cigs or doing the lottery. Seriously the lottery is someone having a feckin giraffe? Just as well I don't use DVD rental shops, that would be embarrassing, sorry sir that's a 15+ haha

I probably look few years older than I actually am. To be honest, I'm not too concerned with how much older I look.

Always younger. In my job, some of the service users have told me they thought i was 18 - 20. Im 41! (they are mainly elderly, so i told myself, failing eyesight. Or should go to Specsavers) But ive been told i look younger by others too. My mind doesn't feel old, still feel like a child really, but my body disagrees!

I'm 25 and look about 18 or younger. I don't think I've ever NOT been ID'ed for booze.
I know its technically a good thing, and I'll appreciate when I'm 40 etc etc... but it does make me feel like I'm often not taken seriously, especially at work.

I`m always told I look a lot younger than I am,which I`ve always liked and now at 38 I take as a godsend (things are definitely starting to crumble now though, the race is on I fear *slaps on yet more anti-aging gunk*).

I think society might have a slightly skewed idea of age because of celebrity and television peeps
the age of botox and face lifts.

Not that it's competitive, but I can beat the lot of you by a mile.
Buying wine in a supermarket I was asked by the (elderly) woman on the till if I was old enough… at 43!!!
I said 'you're joking aren't you', and she didn't pursue it.
I used to hate looking a lot younger, but it's definitely an advantage now.
