Anyone look younger than their age?
Does anyone here look younger than their age?
I do im 21 but people always say "you look about 12" or "you have baby face". It really pisses me off that I dont really look the same age as my age group and im sure it makes me less confident. Anyone the same??? |

Re: Anyone look younger than their age?
Yep. Always. Shaved my hair today to and it's taken another couple of years off I reckon.
When I actually want to start looking young for my age though in my 30's, can guarantee I'll suddenly start going grey and wrinkly and look 5+ years older than I'd like. Sods law and all that. |

Re: Anyone look younger than their age?
I'm 30 and look about 20. It would be quite handy if I were legally allowed to change my age.

Re: Anyone look younger than their age?
I used to be told I looked a few years younger than my actual age when I was in my 20s, take it as a compliment if you can and not an insult, it's a sign of a healthy looking person!
Just wait until you are in your 30s... |

Re: Anyone look younger than their age?
happens to me alot. for example twice in the past couple of months i went and bought painkillers from the supermarket and the checkout women were asking me how old i am. ...i'm almost 24 for gods sake.
anyway i have been experimenting with clothing and i think i have found a style that makes me look passable for 20's basically jeans and a jumper. jumper is one color. no logo's or stuff on it. seems to help somewhat ..atleast for me. |

Re: Anyone look younger than their age?
hell no! Every bit of stress is etched on my face and body.. It pisses me off actually as I have never abused my body apart from through obviously worrying, this condition etc I take that back I did abuse my body, I liked the sun too much when I was younger (probably worst culprit), I was always insecure about looking pale and the fact though I was paler I didn't have a beautiful skin tone so I liked the look of a light golden tan though I never went dark like some and didn't go for the overcooked look but still for a delicate skin it was too much.
Having said that sometimes people say I look younger (by a few years) than I am but not drastically I don't think anyone is going to be asking for ID put it that way. |

Re: Anyone look younger than their age?
Yeah I'm 34 but I look late twenties is mostly what I am told. I have had stupid incidents in the last couple of years being asked to prove I am 21 and even asked for ID buying alcohol but I put that down to the people asking being idiots
It used to annoy me looking young but I'm pretty happy about it now. |

Re: Anyone look younger than their age?
When I shave I look ridiculously young (or just ridiculous) - then again I've had facial hair since I was 17 and it hardly ever comes off for any extended period of time, so I guess that's understandable (bozrena won't let me shave it all off).

Re: Anyone look younger than their age?
Yes apparently so. I am 3 and a half years away from 30 myself and get asked for ID all the time (luckily I don't drink so much anymore) but I have to carry my passport around with me everywhere just in case.
Are the people asking idiots? Possibly and especially bar managers as they like to think they're setting an example by asking the wrong people! When I produced my passport once after being asked for ID, the server then asked 'why do carry your passport around with you?' to which I was like 'well I get asked all the time for it, er, like now?!' Doh! |

Re: Anyone look younger than their age?
I was at the post office a few weeks ago getting my car tax, and this old man overheard me and mentioned something like "you drive?", as if I was younger than 17...he was out by nearly 10 years, which is not good
I think having a baby face is a good thing if you're female, since to look young is an attractive quality, but for a man it signifies weakness, child likeness, immaturity etc. At my previous job I was called the babyfaced assassin...after Marco Antonio Barrera the boxer, because I have a young face and always used to smile when giving them lots of work to do...it was amusing for some reason to give them lots of work they didn't want. |

bunch of people won't believe i'm thirty, say i look way younger. which is fckin great obviously but yeah, i've not exactly "lived" much either, i think we are supposed to be well on our way to a liver transplant by now, with all that sociable drinking and smoking and that  hopefully i'll still be around for another two times thirty years at least! |

nah man, yr seeing it all wrong. what about youthful vigour, playfulness, zest and all that? i think lots of women still look great showing signs of age, whereas lots of men just look more and more like depraved perverts as they get older...*slinks off* |

Re: Anyone look younger than their age?
Hi yes get told that i look younger than 34 all the time and that i look in my late twenties. I have been asked a couple of times for id in the past few years and they have actually refused to serve me because i did not have id on me at the time. Its wierd because i drank alcohol in the pub at 17 and most of the time i never got asked. Anyway, it is getting so pc because now they are asking people for cigarettes and alcohol who look under 25 years of age and i know people in their late 30s and 40s that have been asked for id. My fella met me when i was 28 and he confessed that when he first met me he thought i was about 18 lol!

Re: Anyone look younger than their age?
Yes! I'm 23 tomorrow but if you bumped into me you would think I'm only around 17 or something. I still can't get served in most bars, and I had a most unfortunate time when I went out with some friends. I was the only one stuck on coke because I had no ID on me!
I do look older obviously when I grow facial hair, so I tend to rarely have shaves for that reason! |
