Default National Trust Membership

Do you subscribe to the national trust membership scheme and is it worth the money?

No. I always had that down as a rich person's thing? What do you get from it? There are plenty of free places that you can go to that are just as nice.

Having said that, a beyoodiful National Trust place that you can go to for free is The Ashridge Estate. The cakes are go0o0o0o0o0d. You don't have to pay to park and you don't have to pay to get in. You have to pay to go inside a tower that's there, but I've never bothered going in it.

Me and partner are members.
If you like grand historic mansions and gardens and go regularly, yes it's worth the money.
Being a member also gives you free parking.
There are also some free NT places like forests and coast line

I was just looking at their book on NT gardens earlier (while sitting on the loo!). I would like to be if I was rich and retired. I think my sister + partner were once. However they have to be within travelling distance and there are none in Leicestershire at all. I think they have a free open day for many properties in September as I went to Calke Abbey once which may be worth a try.

I like it when they show NT properties at the halfway point on Bargain Hunt (in between all the craziness). Each place looks amazing and the history is quite intoxicating.

Every time I think, yes I would like to visit there.

One place had Llamas.

My husband and I are National Trust members and Iíd say itís definitely good value for money if you have National Trust properties quite near to you and/or have a car and can visit properties further afield. Itís also good if you like to take holidays in the UK and can visit the various properties. I love visiting big historic houses and wandering around the beautiful gardens. Thereís always lovely cafes at these places too where you can treat yourself to cream teas and yummy cakes

I think you should go for it newbs
