Default 30+ social anxiety support chatroom

If any of you are interested in live text chats or even on mic or cam, then there's a new place just for us over 30s. http://tinychat.com/30plussachat, come in whenever, it'll be busier after 7pm though.

It's asking for a password?

Never mind lol

I thought the password entered through registering would work. What's the room password?

Oh there was a password sorry, none now though and you don't need to register either to enter.

I might have to give that a try. Is it every night of the week?

Best to arrange a time I think. That or forget the idea and stick to sauk chat or the other tiny sa rooms. http://www.social-anxiety-community....=53521&page=23
It's just some people get made to feel old and uncomfortable in these places by the younger crowd, so a 30 plus room is still an option.

Yeah, I think arranging a time to meet and chat would be best, as otherwise the chances are that the room will be empty. One of the depression sites I use has pre-arranged chats at specific dates/times, and that seems to work quite well. It won't suit everyone though I guess.
I'd be interested in joining in with this

I think this had been tried before numerous times over the years but never taken off due to lack of interest and people forgetting about a set time. Though, no harm in trying again as there might possibly be more people around on here now compared to a few years ago who use chatrooms and are over 30+.

erm,.. so, if someone wants to nominate a time, I'd quite fancy giving this a go,.. always wondered what chat would be like, but I imagined that the usual chat-rooms are very much populated by a much younger generation of SAUK folks.

Ok well I'm in there as well as having the other chat rooms open - so if someone comes in let me know.

quite enjoyed my first ever chat last night,.

thanks for setting it up Jigz

was great to hear from all the people involved,..

was glad to hear you've got so much good stuff going on Dory,..

I thought it was often hard to get a proper flow going with several people chatting though,.. Dory was asking questions I wanted to try and answer, but then was also trying to reply to mr31 and was also chatting a bit to Phool,..lol.. it got confusing ( is this normal ? ),.. so sorry if I seemed to be ignoring some chat threads, it's just the chatroom dynamics and the extremely quick flow of various different conversations,.. inevitably some topics or questions will appear to have been overlooked I suppose.

You're just a popular guy I had this problem when I first started using the other SAUK chat rooms earlier this year. You kind of get used to it.

Anyway have opened it up again this evening if anyone wants to join me.

I'm in the NYC time zone, both Britain and the USA are currently under daylight savings time, so the time difference is 5 hours.

So, when it's 9 pm where I live, it's 2 am in the UK.

I logged in at about 9:30 pm (UK time) and chatted with a couple of people.

It was pleasant even though I am not so good at casual chatting.

Aw thats nice. I'd logged in earlier but no one was there so dropped out again. Glad you had a nice chat I've found chatting really useful since I started using it in April.
